Nice bright and even warm light.I used it for under kitchen cabinets and combined with motion sensor, it gives a nice gentle ambient light when you walk in to the room.Good quality product in my view.

Good led strip works as it should and cut too any length . Did my media wall no issues with the right dimming transformer . Made my own lights .

First impression and application:👀 This is a tightly wound reel of LED strip lights with a high LED density. There is an LED approximately every 1/8” or 3.2mm. There is no power supply included and these require 12V, so an appropriate LED driver can be used. There is a socket for a supply or bare wires at the other end. I used a socketed supply to test them and they are very bright and well within the warm white temperature spectrum. I do have an LED driver and that is the preferred power choice with the bare wires. If you use the socket then you will need to insulate the bare wire ends or remove them entirely for short circuit protection.👀 The strip is cuttable at the marks on the tape, and the back has a peel off sticky tape for attachment to clean smooth surfaces. The wiring points are clearly marked but there are no extenders or other wiring provided if you want to split the strip. They are not hard to solder if you have experience and this is a two-wire system. If you only want to make a short join, I would consider using the power wire already soldered on but butting off a few inches.Pros:✔️ Bright.✔️ High LED density.✔️ Strip provides some diffusion, although the camera can pick out the individual LEDs✔️ Sticky backed for application.✔️ Cuttable.Cons:❌ No supply included so a power supply or LED driver is needed.Conclusion:✅ These are nice and bright and will work best under a counter or to provide incidental lighting. I have a Zigbee hub and so I am going to control them remotely via a socket so I can switch them on automatically. Nice warm white light with no dotting but these get hot. A lot hotter then any led strips I’ve bought before.

This COB LED strip comes in a resealable foil packet and inside you’ll find the reel with 5m of COB light.I was expecting to receive this LED strip with a power supply and Wi-Fi receiver, but I just received a reel of 5m COB LED strip on its own. I had to use an LED driver to power this so do bear in mind that you need your own power supply for this.The COB LED strip is the latest type of LED strip used for illumination and is superior due to its constant light along the strip. Traditional strips have LEDs which are spaced apart and depending on the quality, will show up as bright spots if used for ambient lighting. You could either leave it or place them in a diffuser which reduced the light output a bit. These COB LEDs give you a constant light along the strip and it’s really hard to see the individual lights within the strip. This makes them perfect for ambient lighting as it’s a flowing light instead of having bright areas shining along the strip.The strip feels strong and durable and has a rubber textured line running along the centre. Under this strip, if you look closely, you can see the individual lights that make up the strip and they are extremely close together. The cut sections are extremely close together so you can cut this very close to the exact length you need. The light output is very bright and gives out a warm light which gives a room a more warmer feeling due to the colour of the white light.In conclusion, these are a decent upgrade to standard LED strips. It’s refreshing to have a uniform ambient light without bright spots and moving forward, I’ll be replacing all of my strips with COB lights as they are so much better. They aren’t cheap but, in my opinion, they are worth the extra as you get a better light. I can highly recommend these; just remember you’ll need an LED driver and a Wi-Fi receiver if you want Alexa support…
