1 year review update: Just buy the gear!!! It lasted us 2 fall ball seasons and a travel ball spring/summer season and still going strong. The Velcro on the one let is started to need re stitched but we played about 100 games with this set so that’s to be expected and it’s an easy fix. I wish they made another size after the L/XL because it works so well for us. The Velcro is everyone’s favorite part because I can have him keep the legs on while being on deck and it’s a quick pull to get them off. JUST GET IT! No need to spend $200+! My son is an average size 7 year old and beginning travel baseball next summer and wanted his own gear. We looked at a bunch of different ones. MAKE SURE YOU READ REVIEWS!! I would have ordered him a S/M but thankfully saw a review of another average 7 year old with a L/XL perfect! So happy we saw that! Definitely recommend!

Decent gear for what you pay for, the helmet is great. Chest protector is NOT NOSCAE certified. So you will need to keep shopping if that is required in your league. The Velcro is nice and quick on the but it will not last long. The “mid” rating is for the quality and purpose I hoped to get but am now coming to terms with. This was great to get my little one passionate about the position but it’s only been a short time and I’m already making plans for a better set. So my recommendation depends on your situation. Great starter gear but that’s it.

Quality is great and works well. 2 seasons down and still going strong

This is a great beginner setup! Looks great on and fit my 8 year old perfect. Putting it on is very easy with the Velcro straps and has saved tons of time between innings. Add some knee savers and this is the most comfortable set my kid has.

Very poor quality product. I trusted the brand when purchasing, but the velcro gets dirty and no longer sticks properly. The product arrived and my son used it the same day for training, and the part shown in the photo came unstitched. During training, I saw him adjusting the velcro multiple times because it would open when he moved. The helmet does seem to be of good quality, but aside from that, there’s too much velcro for a product that is expected to be high quality. The fact that it came unstitched on the very first use is unacceptable. I do not recommend it. I'm not returning it because I don’t want to take away my son’s excitement over his training and game kit while we get a new one—but I’m truly disappointed with this purchase. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

Pretty good gear. Velcro knee pads not sure how long that will last but lasted the first season so far of baseball. The kids liked the lighter face mask so they could throw it off easy to see. Nothing bad to say.
