I purchased this Blind Spot Radar Sensor to install in my 2014 Honda CRV. The 2014 CRV does not come with the latest side lane vehicle detection sensing system. However, my car has very low mileage(60k miles) and very well maintained. I was under pressure to spend over 35k+ USD to upgrade a new car purely because lacking the radar sensing, which does not make sense at all. When researching online, I was lucky to find the BY-J brand selling the part for the blind spot detection. I was not sure whether it would work or not. From the review, some says it works, and some says it not. I decided to take a risk and give it a try. I called and confirmed my car shop won't do this non-standard part installation for me(kind expected). So I hired my home handyman, who have never done car repairs for customers( Later I learned some local "car stereo" shop may do this type of work). I am prepared to throw few days to fix this step by step. The handyman helped open the rear bumper, installed per the instruction manual to connect the light signal wires, and cut some metal in the bumper to install the radar. Connect the line to the under the hood battery and give it a try. It lights up and the beeper sounds when make a turn when vehicle drive by! However, it is not consistent. After 5 miles drive, radar not working. And interestingly, when we disconnect the battery and try again, it works. We know something is not installed correctly, maybe connect to the battery is an issue(we know nothing about how to connect to fusebox at all , aka "ACC" port in the manual). Then I made another great decision, instead of trying out randomly. I contacted Amazon customer service and have them connect to the vendor(Chinese vendor). We used wechat and the customer service is really stellar. Within few days we were able to get good advise from the technical expert. Who reminded us that the key maybe the brown line connect to the reverse light. It should be disconnected per the specific model we purchased. He also sent great videos on how to connect to the fuse box right under the driving wheel. (ACC means only on--suggest >10Ampere current after starting the car, and off when turn off the car. Simply test few fuse box and pick one, that easy! If we try our original way to connect to the battery directly, it will always on, drain the battery and is not the right way to do it). Anyway, in the second trip, the handyman tried (1) disconnect the reverse parking line (2) Connect to one of fuse box ACC port(ACC is a generic term, you really don't need specific car's manual to find out. Simply test it!). It works beautifully and very predictable for at least 1 week now. I will update later if there is reliability problem but if not then means the part is very reliable. Total cost me about 1.5 day US labor time to get it fully working(for someone very inexperienced in car like us). Several things are really work highlighting: The customer service is stellar, do not fear about the installation. Give yourself some time on this project and leverage their experience. I think installation would not be an issue if you dedicate some time. Make calls to local car stereos or other shops and find the one who can do this type of work. Worst case, ask your handyman and spend time to try out. I am very happy about the experience and thus want to give it a 5 star rating. It deserves it. Some notes to the seller: (1) Part cost probably is not the biggest issue. Make sure follow up each case and the customer is successful. Spend time to modify the installation manual(link to videos, or open a Youtube channel purely on videos related to how to install this.) In the US market, you may spend $200 to buy the part, but over $1000 to install it. Smooth, happy installation is the key to get great reviews and make the part popular. (2) Consider some tape springs, basically think about the difficulties how to install this units on bumps and find easy ways to fix it. Not everyone has the luxury to cut bumper metal to install it. (3) Future product can consider wireless+battery, that would make the line connection a lot easier. I hope this review can help someone who is on the fence to buy this product. Jason

I’m sharing my experience so far. The system is not consistent in its detection of cars and trucks. It detects car about 80% of the time and trucks (track trailer) about 10% to 20% of the time. So far, I can’t rely on its results to make a safe lane change.
