Extra Wide Walk-Thru Gate

I received the gate today. It comes with one less extension than in the image. We needed it for a 46" wide opening, and in the questions answered it appeared to cover that distance with the extensions included. To be fair, no where other than the image did the listing say how many extensions it ships with. It arrived with the main gate (29") ans 2x 5" extensions which, for those keeping track, totals 37" and well short of the promised 48" plus. With screws fully extended (not a secure setup) I can get it to a weakly secured 42". Not to mention, that I personally do not consider 36" to be an extra wide doorway. In fact, it's pretty close to standard.I can order extra extensions direct from Carlson in theory, but would have preferred it to be more clear with the original order, rather than having to wait another week and pay more for more pieces. If it fit, it is a nice product. We purchased it because we really like our original Carlson pet door with small cat door (currently blocking a 30" doorway). However I was disappointed with the difference between description and product in this case.

I have this between a pillar and a wall. As it is tension mounted, it is pushing so hard on the pillar that it is being moved out of place. It's a very large foundation pillar.Just be careful if you have this setup. You might need a permanent mount version.Otherwise gate is great.

Works great, only draw back is it opens only one way. Otherwise its perfect. Cats can go through f the little door is open but not the puppies.

Works well! The walk thru space is a little on the narrow side, but other than that it's good.

We have a golden that used to push through our older double swinging gate. Not any more! The single swing gate works like a charm.

I was so in need of this. Glad when I saw it came, upset when I opened the box. The metal is bent.

If the screw posts are more than 1/2 out the gate is unstable
