Great game on ps5

You can tell the developers have genuine love for the original 1992 game, while also adopting gameplay elements from the modern Resident Evil remake titles. The gameplay isn't perfect - it can be a tad on the easy side, and combat can feel a little janky, but it makes up for it by actually retaining survival horror elements, beautiful environments, fun characters, a solid soundtrack and an engaging story! This is an actual survival horror title, meaning it may not be for everyone; combat is not the priority, and there is a lot of back-tracking. Also, similarly to the original, there are notes you can find that are pretty long but are actually voiced. This is not a remake, by the way, but a reboot! It borrows elements and characters from the original story but the narrative itself is completely different. If you're a survival horror fan, give it a try! I think it's fair to say that Alone in the Dark is officially back! :)

Great game. Its a mixture of resident evil and silent hill.

I had no information on this game and just bought it to scratch that horror game itch and boy was this a pleasant surprise. While not perfect it felt was I was playing an old horror game from around the early ps3 days in both the good and the bad. My only real gripe with it is there are 2 playable characters who are very different from each other but the game is like 95% the same. Despite some clunkiness and some older horror game jank I fully enjoyed my time with Alone in the Dark and would recommend as long as you dont need a videogame to be flawless to be enjoyable
