Marathon 4.80/4.00-8" Flat Free Tire on Wheel, 3" Hub, 3/4" Bearings, Ribbed Tread

This is what should be on all wheel barrows.

Make sure to measure your axle size. These Tires fit perfectly on my very old yard cart that I pull behind with Riding Lawn Mower. Being solid rubber / Flat free is the best part. I will not have to change out inner tubes in future years. Thought they were a little pricey, but if you take into consideration that they will last years & no replacements needed. Believe it is worth the extra. I have not had a chance to put it under a heavy load yet but so far so good.

I have a utility cart that I pull with my mower. The molded plastic wheels it came with were problematic with the tire bead not seating well on the wheel rim resulting in the tire coming off the rim and the inner tube popping like a balloon. These wheels/tires resolved the issue and increased the weight capacity of the cart to 1,000 lbs . . . not that I can get 1000 lbs in the cart, but no more flats and I can load up the cart without any concerns. Not inexpensive, but the cost to stop what I was doing to get a new tube, replace the tube, etc., again and again was well worth it!

Bought a pair of these to replace flat-prone tires on my garden trailer. Larger than the tires they replaced, these still fit the Agri-fab trailer, and will probably fit most others with the 3/4 spindle. They do not flat spot, even after letting them sit with a loaded trailer. However, The ball bearings are cheap and wore out rather quickly. You really can't grease these too much. They have a convenient grease fitting. I guess I should've greased them more frequently. A solid hub with a grease fitting would've been cheaper (if they offered it) and stronger. I had one tire DISMOUNT from the rim due to side loading on a hill. I am unable to get the tire back onto the rim. Normal tire mounting tools do not work on this solid doughnut. Now I'm trying to find a 2-piece 8" rim to use the tire on. Overall I still give it a 4-star rating because I expect my loading of the product was excessive. For typical use, these should last forever (if you keep the bearings WELL lubricated).

I love these tires! I'm using them on a little cart that I pull behind my mower. I had gone through what seemed like a set of inflatable tires every year for the past several years until I had that "light bulb" moment and it dawned on me to stop wasting my money and get the flat-free tires. They are a perfect fit on the hub, they'll carry the weight I need to haul, and I believe this will be the last set of tires I ever have to buy for my little cart! The most important thing I can tell you is to just be sure and measure properly for the size tire you need.

I bought these for my Craftsman lawn cart as I needed to use it after years of sitting in my shed. They are very easy to install but the hard part was getting the old worn out wheels off. These wheels never need air nor do they ever need greased. I noticed some reviewers stated that flat spots develop on these tires after setting idle for a time. But I always have kept my yard cart stored on it's tailgate. So it should not only prevent those flat spots from developing but gives me more storage in my shed as well.
