I bought this snap fastener tool to install snaps on my chicken coop so I can winterize it with clear vinyl and have an easy and fast way to remove it at the end of the winter. It’s easy enough to set up and use: I managed to attach snaps to the metal frame and vinyl without much fuss. It’s not heavy-duty or industrial-grade but performed like a champ! It’s inexpensive and handy to have around for a variety of projects. Overall I’m satisfied with this product and would buy it again if needed.

Good grief why didn’t I think of this? When installing a new convertible top on a car number years ago, I struggle with the hammer and pounding peg thing they sent with my convertible top. The next car I bought that needed a convertible top, I went to one of those hobby and craft stores, and bought a tool for installing snaps. It worked for about six snaps and then the cheap pot metal bent, and it was worthless. So I had to use the pounding peg thingy once more to finish the snaps on that one. I’ve got another car that needs a convertible top, and while I was on Amazon looking for anything that might be better to installthe snaps with, I found this! Holy moly, does this work great! It comes with a good variety of snaps with it as well, and I used a few of them on other things, such as a boat cover, a tonneau cover, as well as a few on an old tarp for practice! So quick so easy. I regret not finding this eight years ago. Absolutely awesome! Highly recommended, and well worth the investment if you’re going to do even just one convertible top! Your mental frustration system will thank you!

Product is as described and of good quality. I'm sure there are heavier duty tools for more production and/or heavier materials, but this will work fine for my light duty project and future repairs.

Works as advertised from the first snap installation. I put in 12 or so snaps after receiving the kit without one wrong snap installation.

The tool worked great until the selected iron fell off into the canal. I was able to magnet it out and ended up reinstalling it with hot melt glue. But this is not ideal since you need to switch irons depending on the snap being installed. The magnet that holds the irons in needs to be stronger.

Facilite la pose des attaches mais l’angle dans laquelle ferme les pinces n’est pas optimal pour les attaches. Il faut être vigilant pour ne pas qu’elles s’écrasent croche. Pourraient être mieux faites pour même vraiment face à face et non en angle

Second one I purchased. Works really well. Had to redo the snaps on my boat cover. Like the magnetic interchangeable adapters. Snaps that shipped with the tool were good. Only thing missing is a case.

Snap fastener tool: Upon receiving this fastener tool, I was very pleased with the quality and construction of the tool. It is in fact a set of "vice-grip" pliers with an adaptation of the jaws to attach snaps. I have used it to replace worn and missing snaps on a favorite winter ski jacket with ease. I do recommend this fastener tool based upon its quality of construction and how easy it is to use.
