When i rolled to the side since it is too soft it didnt give me enough support to keep my shoulder from collapsing and in the center at 4.5 inch was too high for my neck. So here I am buying their thinnest pillow at 3.5 inches flat no contour "ANATOMIC" design. And I love it! I feel my neck is more comfortable so I can breath better. So it is soft but not too soft, so when I actually put my head down it does get lower than the 3.5 inch.
