Buy these! They are the best quality, coolest looking glasses I have ever owned. I bought these half-frame readers for 12 dollars. I had been looking for small half-frames for years and couldn't find them. I found these on amazon -- thinking the look was exactly what I wanted. They arrived fast, and out of the box, I was impressed with the quality. I am a finish carpenter and need the correction for detail work and reading a tape measure. I'm hard on glasses and i tend to go through readers quickly because they break or I lose them.I get compliments on how unique and cool these glasses look, at least once a week. Over several months I misplaced both pair, but they never broke or scratched. I ordered four more pair four months ago. I lost another set the first week I had them. I've been on the second set for four months. Three days ago, I accidentally stepped on them while working in a closet. They completely flattened. I assumed they were toast, but since I didn't have a spare set with me, I decided to try to bend them back into position. That was not an easy task -- they are tough as nails. I had to put them in a vice and use pliers on each temple piece to readjust the angle. After several minutes of prying and leveraging, I was able to bend them back into position. Even though I had stepped on them wearing boots, the lenses didn't pop out or scratch. I put them on, and they fit like new. On my way home I stopped at a store, and the young cashier said: "I love your glasses, they are the coolest!" In comparison, I have bought readers from costco, readers.com, and countless other discount retailers, and their glasses break with the slightest bit of use. Not these -- this company has my business for good!

I had cataract surgery and now need “readers” as my distance vision is great. These glasses are just right for me, with a clear top edge and being low on my face and I can look at a distance and still read just by moving my eyes. They are so comfortable I often roam around the house with them even when I don't need them! the only thing I would like better is if the ear pieces were longer because they don't wrap around my ears and tend to fall off when my head is tilted down.

I didn't think they made this style anymore. I had cataract surgery and wanted to see close up but also wanted to, at the same time, see distance with my new vision. I remembered this style from the past. I was not disappointed when I got them. They are exactly as described and worked so well I ordered another set to save around the house.

Though 66 years old, I continue to work as an accountant. Normal reading glasses were a pain. I was always putting them on to read figures on the papers on my desk, then taking them off to see the computer monitors clearly. Or a client would come into my office and I would constantly adjust my glasses.The Optix 55 solved all these problems. And I have one pair for home and office.The workmanship is excellent, the carrying case smart looking.

These glasses are excellent quality and lower price than others! My wife uses them also as she has the same prescription. Also like the convenient case that comes with each pair. And yes they are light weight and comfortable.

Love my Optix 55 reading (half) glasses. I'm not easy on glasses. These lenses are clear to the edges. The frame is flexible and durable, ear pieces comfy. I haven't scratched them yet which is a surprise for me. I use them for reading, writing and computer work mostly but I like them for detail work on my woodworking projects. I've used cheaters for 10 years now, my other pairs were hanging from my shirt pocket most of the day, these I find on my nose most of the time.

Since my cataract surgery, I have bought at least ten different brands of reading glasses. All fell apart within a very short time, until I purchased my first pair of Optik 55. I've had them for several weeks, they are still very comfortable and still just like new. In the future, if I need any more glasses, I will definitely buy the Optik 55's again. They are GREAT!
