Bought this trail cam after a friend's recommendation. So far I've tested the battery life with a full 8 AA battery store and after 2 weeks there are plenty of video recordings and ample battery life and storage yet. I am yet to test it under freezing conditions but it definitely holds up under extended periods of rain and temperature fluctuations daily between 3-18C (Typically Scottish range). Very happy with the product, the video quality and overall compactness and easy-of-use. Would recommend for anyone starting out considering the affordable price too. Nice gadget!

I have to say this is a very good camera and at such a low cost. Easy to set up and get running, and the video & picture quality is excellent. Getting great footage of the hedgehogs in the back garden.

This camera worked really well over night for the first few weeks. We had clear images of our hedge hog who regularly visits our garden. We were able to capture really good videos. The camera is easy to use but we did need to replace the batteries frequently, even when it was only out over night. It is easy to transfer the footage to a laptop via the cable. I also like the feature of the time, date, moon stage and temperature being recorded when the camera sensor is triggered. That is very clever. After using it for a few weeks, it started to record black screens over night, when it was triggered, which was very odd. I contacted support and Vivian and the team were really good. We tried various things to fix it but the infrared lights won't light up. Vivian has sent me a refund though which was very generous. It seems that we experienced a rare issue and it couldn't be fixed. It's a shame as it is a great camera.

Really good camera! Easy to set up with the QR code to a video and then step by step in the manual. I’m not techy but found it easy. The resolution is good quality too- bought to capture the wildlife that visits my garden- it was so exciting to check it this morning and see a fox, a nuthatch, a frog and my cat of course. I’ll be buying another for my allotment! Easy to set up and to check. Very happy with this value for money camera.

I purchased this camera to use in the garden to watch hedgehogs and anything else which may appear! Once set up, it is easy to use and comes with a few extras i.e. a strap to use for fixing it to a post or you can use the small stand which comes with it. I’ve used 8 x AA batteries but not sure how long they will last? - early days yet! Very clear video - you can even see the smallest mouse 🐭!! I purchased this camera when it was on special offer so it was great value for money. I also received a message from the seller concerning any problems etc I may have and they offered to help in any way - which I thought was a nice gesture and a good backup from the firm! It’s given me much pleasure to know what goes on in my garden during the night!!!

Fantastic camera! I brought a cheaper one elsewhere prior and it stopped working properly after a few nights trying it out. This camera is easy to set up and use and the camera quality is really good and very clear. The best thing compared to the other camera I brought was the motion sensor sensitivity, this camera actually captures wildlife as soon as it enters the shot rather than delaying activation and wildlife is half way across the shot already before it even starts filming. Also, great customer service. Activated my warranty and they did so straight away with a nice email asking if everything is working all ok.

Why would you buy a trail camera? If you want it out of curiosity as to who or what's in your garden or wherever, this is probably good enough. If you want images that are sharp or share with friends or on social media or from which you can recognise individual animals (or people), this isn't going to cut it. Night images are blurry or blown out by the Infrared. Daytime images have a distinct green cast to them and a lot of fringing - the shutter speed is too slow and not at all sharp. The problem seems to be that infrared focuses at a different point to normal light but there is only one lens to do both jobs, and neither does it well. It reacts badly to poor daylight with a lack of dynamic range. I very much doubt that the claimed 60MP and 4K are direct readings and more likely the result of some algorithm. The camera triggers slowly so the creature has often disappeared or there's just a tail at one edge. The video suffers from much the same problems. Also bear in mind that this is going to eat batteries, and you'll probably be better off investing in rechargeables - 8 of them. The claimed specification, the price and Amazon recommendation should be disregarded.
