Well, three minutes into my epic flight I took a wrong turn, panicked and flew right into a tree, 40 ft up. Drone lights were blinking because of the cool motor stop feature ( to keep it from burning up ) and it just sat there. Man! , this is not good. Quick thinking going on right now because I am not leaving my drone behind......I got my little giant ladder and a telescopic extender stick and off I went. I got to the top of the ladder, grabbed the stick with help from my honey, and reached the drone's nesting place. I snagged it! "YES".....uh oh.....feels a bit top heavy....losing my grip......Bang! Dropped 20ft into the grass. I climbed down, grabbed the drone, turned it off then on and went through calibration. Did I mention "No damage" ?? Darn thing took off straight and true. I trimmed it and it flew good as new. This little guy is tough as a $2 steak......and must taste good to trees. I will be more careful. Climbing ladders to reach trees to dislodge drones is not my forte. All is great and still loving the drone. Thank you Force 1. I love the Red Heron UPDATE 2 : The company reached out to me and informed me that THEY WOULD register my drone for warranty. This is THE BEST customer service I have ever had. Very positive experience with Force 1. Thank you Force 1 _____________________________ IUPDATE: I tried registering this drone on the Force 1 website. For some reason they would not honor the warranty by registration because I did not buy it from them. Sounds kind of weird to me but wanted you folks to know. I did not know I was buying this from a 3rd party. it really should not matter but wanted you to know. If you buy this drone here ( and it is a great little drone) you will not be eligible for the extended warranty by the Force 1 company. ----------------------------------------------------- love the drone and it's really a lot of fun and pretty easy to learn but the #1 thing is the Customer Service. They are really on the ball. Let me explain. When I got my drone I was going through the manual and noticed I was missing a Hex Wrench provided in case of repair. I contacted customer service through email. They responded within an hour and offered to replace it. I have dealt with a lot of customer service but I was very impressed that something so little was given a degree of concern. The email i received from everyone there gave me the impression they care about the customer. Fun Drone. Great CS. Review: So I decided to go with this one and it is a good beginner choice - I’ve never flown a drone before. So I decided to go with this one and it is a good beginner choice. I’ve crashed it quite a few times when learning to fly it and it’s holding up great. The camera isn’t too good for photos. It’s pretty pixelated. But it’s fun to watch videos and the pixelation is less noticeable. The battery life is pretty good but takes a very long time to recharge. And it lasts longer with the camera removed. It does seem to have some trouble when there’s even the slightest breeze. Which kind of sucks for me because I live on a hill and it’s pretty windy all the time. But on the bright side my dog looooves this thing and she has a blast trying to catch it. And I have fun watching her. It’s fun for everyone.

Couldn’t be happier!!
After searching features and reviews for two years on drones, finally got the Force 1 for my husband’s birthday and he loves it! Never having a drone it was impressive that he had it together and flying relatively smoothly in a very short period of time. Pros: -Easy to put together, calibrate and fly even for beginner, though flying does take some practice! -True 15 minutes of flying time is among the best I’ve seen shopping around -Comes with two batteries, no need to purchase another -Extra propellers and two motors for any serious crash and burns Cons: -It is light and definitely need a day with little or no wind to fly outside, especially when new to flying. -if you try to edit and zoom in on the pictures taken with the 720 pixel camera, they will get grainy, but otherwise the pictures/video are fine. Note, the plug in adapter for the micro card didn’t work in my ancient laptop, I had to purchase a actual SD card adapter that accepts the micro card for a couple of bucksbut this has worked great. So overall couldn’t be happier with the purchase! Great quality and value!!

Nice beginner drone flew away
This was a Christmas present for my 8 year-old son, who had wanted a drone for months. I read the reviews and felt confident that it would be a great beginner drone, and we were not disappointed. Within the 15-minute first battery, my son and I had great control over this drone and were taking off/landing, and taking pictures and videos. In short, this is a great drone to learn with and a lot of fun. I have great pictures of my son on Christmas day flying this, and that is worth a million dollars to me. Two weeks later, my son was flying this drone within its limits and taking some video when I all of a sudden heard him crying and pleading for help. I came running as fast as I could and took the controller within a minute, but it was no longer responding to any commands. The last I saw of the drone was it flying higher and higher away from us to the north and west. It was a sad moment, and now we are left with the controller, extra battery, and extra parts, but no drone. The irony is that I purchased the extra parts pack thinking he would crash and wreck the drone and we would need to fix it. That never happened, but I did not count on us losing the drone entirely. We liked the drone when it was here (5 stars). I dislike the drone for it disappearing (1 star). Thus, I am giving it 3 stars. This was a big ordeal for my son, but hopefully others won't experience it.
