Okay, I love this unit. Installed in my '04 Tacoma. Easy install, terrific sound, and has feature I hadn't noticed were on it until I powered it up - Bluetooth phone connection! Now the "BUT". Hookup is straightforward with all the wires nicely tagged so there's really no need for installation instructions (of which there are none), BUT the third connector contains wires to hookup safety features that, although labeled, are not immediately understood. The extra connector has wires for: Front camera power (+12v 500mA) Rear camera power (+12v 500mA) Remote output (+12v 500mA) Reverse input (+12v 500mA) Parking brake input [no additional info] Okay, the camera leads I get. Remote output and reverse input (to activate a backup camera. I'm sure) I probably don't need. The Parking Brake Input, OTOH, needs to be connected in order for the DVD player function to work. I get that; the unit is designed to not be usable when driving the vehicle and wiring it [somehow] into the parking brake warning circuit would do that, BUT no idea exactly how to do that. Do I locate the P-brake wires and simply splice into that? Is that connection going to go to ground or power? Would be nice to know; now I have to research that.

The primary purpose for purchasing this unit was for the backup camera. The camera does work if you first select the camera mode from the menu and then put the car in reverse. Then when drive is selected, "no video signal" is displayed and you have to use the menu to go back to the radio. This makes the unit completely useless to me. I would expect the backup camera to display whenever the car is in reverse, no matter what mode the unit is in (i.e. Radio, USB, SD, Phone)

Very pleased with this head unit. Easy install, setup, and clear, easy to follow instructions, Wide variety of features, and plenty of power for most applications. It also has a good amount of options for adjusting where and how much power you want for your speakers and subwoofers A feature I really like is it automatically comes on at a adjustable lower volume when you start up no matter how loud you had it when you shut it off.(We've all had those mornings after blasters) Built in equalizer has a nice presets and option to set it up for what sounds best in your vehicle. Only four stars due to remote did not work, but in a truck I don't really need one. Would buy this unit again.
