desertcart.com Review: Fit good, worked perfect. - Yes the small coil wire connects on the lower side of the coil. It's not a problem, it's only a 1/2 inch closer to the engine than the original one. These coils solved my poor running condition. It runs like new. If your Kohler 7000 series engine is over 2 or 3 years old and bogs down under a load, and smells like it's running rich, there's a very good chance your ignition coils are bad. Remember that the coil and spark plug wire are one, either one could be bad, it's a cheap and simple fix. Review: Fixed the tractor. Worked wonders - Works in repairing my craftsman t310

Not identical to original Kohler part, but it worked for my KT715 engine
These modules fixed my Kohler KT715 (2019 model year), which was running erratically at high throttle (with or without the blades engaged - but it was worse under a load). I had already replaced the carburetor, plugs, fuel pump, fuel filter and air filter - so this was my last hope for an easy fix (I'm handy but definitely not an engine guy). I saw a video where a mechanic indicated that faulty ignition modules/coils are (or were) a known issue with Kohler 7000-series engines. As a few others have noted, these ignition modules are physically slightly different than the original Kohler part 32 584 06-S. The ignition cable connections on these are on the underside of the part, but on my Kohler 7000-series KT715-3047 engine (it's so irritating how people don't list engines model numbers in their reviews - who cares what brand the mower is!?), there is enough room below the module that this was not an issue in my case. Still, this puts those cables a lot closer to the engine block, so maybe heat could eventually affect these. On one side of my engine, there is another harness that is sort of in the way, and I chose to route the ignition cable somewhat awkwardly over this harness, so as to avoid being too close to the engine block. But over all, the bolt holes lined up perfect, with room to adjust the gap, etc. and it was a very simple repair.

Works great
Mower kept shutting down while mowing. After some research I ordered these and it fixed the problem. Fit perfectly and rather easy to install.
