Reliable switching. Properly hosts Blue tooth transmitter for my mouse and keyboard as well as a USB audio adapter to bring pink and green audio jacks to my desktop. USB stick also work well. My wide screen 4K monitor using DisplayPort also performs as expected.

This is a great device, I am really happy with it. The wired switch is excellent, has a nice feel and click to it. It is of great quality despite being so lightweight. The actual unit itself is sturdy, well made, and is very responsive. I have no issues running this between two computers with all ports in use. I should note, you may experience weird behavior if the unit does not have its USB power line connected to it when it comes to sleeping/hibernating/waking up. I noticed the computers would not turn on after going to sleep or into hibernation mode. Once plugged in, everything works well. If you expect this to instantly switch over between computers, it is an unrealistic expectation. By design, the computer thinks the USB has just been plugged in, and the computer takes a second to scan and initiate necessary drivers, so there will always be a half second or second delay when swapping between computers. I must have been doing something wrong but this morning I tried working my copier/canner and it works as advertised with both my computers so I am upgrading to 5 stars.

I needed to replace my old KVM that was starting to fail. I needed something inexpensive and quickly available. This fit the bill. I have never had a KVM with a single USB to connect both the keyboard and mouse, so I was a little skeptical. It worked great. The biggest surprise was the video output! I couldn't believe the improvement in video quality over my old KVM that was made by a major brand-name manufacturer ... and this was 1/3 of the price. I don't know how it will last over time, but I'm excited to find out.

Working so far. For anyone looking to communicate with this switch via the serial port, the communications settings are: 115200 baud rate, 8 data bits, Odd parity and 1 stop bit.

I can't speak to the KVM or Bidirectional versions, but the simple USB switch version works great for me. I have two computers on one monitor. I let the monitor handle switching between the video inputs, and use this little guy to switch the keyboard/mouse back and forth. Works seamlessly.

Asked my company to purchase one of these to make my task of imaging multiple workstations easier. As the workstations only had DisplayPort video ports, I requested the DisplayPort model. And all eight inputs are indeed DisplayPort... but the only monitor output is HDMI. Fortunately, the monitors we have provide both DP and HDMI input, but the product was billed as "DisplayPort", and no mention was made (either in the "About this item" section or the "All product specifications") of the output being HDMI-only. Guess I should have looked more closely at the product images, but vision-impaired Amazon customers using a screen reader might not have had that option.

Surprisingly good. Metal body, nice ports, hard-plastic button. Works great for switching between USB stick and CarPlay in my Toyota.

Edit: I started having an issue with the button and the seller has offered me a replacement. Overall, very happy with my purchase and good customer service. I was worried at first because many similar products seem to have a problem with insulation and I didn't want to brick a computer with a 30$ switch. I sent the seller a message and they replied that I shouldn't worry. I still bought a usb voltage tester and I am happy to say that there was no current whatsoever on the input not currently selected. Works as intented.

This could not be much simpler, yet perfectly effective to manually switch between two devices (input) or to select an alternate display. I use mine to accommodate sharing a monitor between my primary desktop PC and my XBOX ONE and haved used a 3M Command strip to secure it to my desk for convenience. Fills the need perfectly with no fuss.

Works well, but uses USB micro for power cable.
