what are the uses of plastic square weigh boats?

They are a light weight and inexpensive way to contain your supplement while weighing.

What are the approximate dimensions of the bottom? I'm assuming the listed dimensions are at the largest length x width, at the top of the weigh boat.

boat base is 4.25" (inches or... 125mm) wide... hope this helps and the boats are large enough for copious amounts of chemical (dry).

How consistent are they in weight? If I tare one can I use any other without re-taring?

Yes... They are used in scientific labs where weight is critical, however if your lab requires precision weight measurements then you will naturally tare each one before measurement.

Can this be used to hold blue meth crystals ?

Isaiah, thanks for the much need laugh. Priceless.
