I used it to polish the surface of my mineral crystal glass watch face that was covered in fairly deep gouges--deep enough that I really wasn't expecting much of an improvement. Boy was I wrong! It took several cumulative hours of polishing (likely because I started with too fine a grit at first) but it worked great! The deep gouges that would catch my fingernails are gone. I personally left a few tiny blemishes on the watch face because I like the patina but I have no doubt that I could've kept going until I got the crystal perfectly smooth. Coming from someone with no prior experience, the product was simple to use and effective. 10/10. Review: Great results! All-in-one kit - The glass on my antique pocket watch was so badly scuffed and scratched that numbers on the lower left (VI through IX ) were illegible. I applied the pastes to dremel felt wheels and polished the glass, starting with the 1200 and ended with the 4000. The glass cleared up amazingly. In addition, because the polish is so fine it was able to clear the glass while also retaining its age related irregularities: so in the case of this antique watch the glass looks old and clear ( as opposed to looking brand-new, which would be out of place in this instance ) A ‘brand new’ look would have just taken more polishing, but I stopped when it was ‘just right.’ I’ve been frustrated by trying to polish glass in the past, but this kit worked beautifully.

I love this stuff.
I collect\repair watches and I do some gunsmith stuff and now am making some knives from kits. some watches old and new come with a hard glass crystal which is really ugly when scratched. Nothing else will touch those scratches. Also for a fine mirror like polish on stainless steel like guns or knives? This is the stuff. For most people I would say the 1200/2000/4000 is a good selection to have. They make 40-50 thousand also. One thing to note is that the grit sizes on these diamond pastes is not the same as say 2000 grit sandpaper or 1200 grit stones. this is perhaps milder... I have some paste in 400 grit that is great to start out with on deep scratches. it is not like 400 grit sandpaper tho. More like 1000 grit sandpaper? This is a good thing tho since it is hard to really harm something with this paste. anyway.. good to have around and easy to use. 5 grams does not seem like a lot but believe me.. it is used sparingly. A couple of finish nail dollops each time and then rub rub rub.

Didn’t work
Spent extra money buying 6 different grits. I still have the same scratch but now shadowing from excessive pressure on my screen from trying to rub the scratch out. Save your money.
