Perfect! Stitched this elastic around the tops of socks that were supposed to be knee socks but ended down by my ankles after wearing for a few minutes! The elastic made a “welt” at the top of the socks to ensure they stayed up by my knees!

I used this to run through the fine rib hem of a jumper that had gone floppy. It is quite thick and needs a needle with a large eye. The jumper is a very dark navy so it doesn't show, the thread has a good stretch without breaking and works well. But it does fray as you use it, be careful to use the full thread or it will break easily. I am just glad it is still available.

Very useful for little tightening alterations on underwear and sleeves on jumpers that have gone baggy

Had my first go shearing some fabric. Hand wound around the bobbin and kept the fabric tight whilst sewing on a machine and I’m very pleased with the results.

This is quality Shearing elastic, I use it when the bottoms of my jumpers get a little too stretched . It helps to sew it into the underside of the jumper to make them fit better and last another winter, cheaper than buying a new jumper 😀
