Good for DIY use.
As others have mentioned before, this pouch does smell. Something of a plastic/vinyl smell. The leather has a plastic-like top coat and is probably the source of this smell. Good build quality, thin leather, you get what you pay for, no more.

Good tool pouch, worth the purchase.
Using this for a Fenching pouch, staples, clips, spikes, etc. It has good leather in this one, with the tough side of the hide to the inside of the pouch where the abrasion is going to be. Stitching and rivets are acceptable. After a season of fencing it looks like it should hold up well for its price, very happy with the purchse.
