These punches serve their purpose since I am only making knife, hatchet and saw field sheaves.

These are about as cheap of a set of diamond pricking chisels you can find..... that's why I bought them.I tested them right out of the bag. They were rough punching through and stuck like hell coming out... exactly as I expected.I polished the tines.... either with dremel or on polishing wheel (used both to same results) for a good 5 or 6 minutes with jewelers Rouge.With mirror finished tines I tried again. Couple taps and tines glided through the leather cleanly and then pulled out smooth and easy... perfect stitching holes.Punched and stitched multiple projects and they are still fine....That being said.... they are cheap. They are lightweight and I can see them bending or breaking if not used properly. But as an everyday chisel set for 10 bucks they work perfectly! I'm not abusing them, but not real concerned if they eventually bend or break. As for a polishing wheel or polisher head on a dremel.... all leather workers should own one or both as many tools as we have that need constant sharpening and polishing....I've ordered the 3, 4, 5, and 6mm sets, polished them all, and I'm pleased!
