Although shellac is prone to be damaged by water, it is otherwise a superb finish. This is especially true for smaller objects like gift or trinket boxes, which I make a lot of. It dries quickly and allows for multiple coatings in a short time. Also easy to repair. This lot of flakes has excellent color or should I say lack thereof, and mixes quite well in the denatured alcohol I use. Also works well, when thinned properly, in my air brush. nice product and will purchase again as needed.

I wanted to experiment with the use of shellac as a wood finish. This cost effective option is allowing me to experiment with different cuts, French polishing, etc. As far as I can tell, it is a good product.

got this to finish some doors. even whith the cost of alcohol, it's about half the price of zinsser. takes about a day to dissolve completely, but the finish is impeccable. get a sprayer for it. it'll save you some time and headache.

Quality finish. As good as any brand I've used. Color is as advertised. Mixes well. Shellac can be tricky, make sure you know what to do with this product before you order it.

man is this stuff sticky! don't drip any on your table. if you do, wipe it up really fast or it's there forever.

These dissolved well. They are lighter than a blonde package I bought from another source. Very little color change on eastern white pine after 2 coats of 2 pound cut. Not a problem for me.

This is the best value for money Shellac I have seen. Be aware that it isn't dewaxed, so if you want to apply a top coat of another finish it could be a problem. Having said that I have done exactly that on many occasions without any problem.

I bought this shellac because it was reasonably priced and the color matched the description, but unfortunately, the result was a disaster. After applying it, it never dried properly and remained sticky, attracting dust and dirt easily. I waited longer, hoping it would cure, but it made no difference – the surface stayed tacky and unusable. Worst of all, it completely ruined my work, and I had to repaint everything with a different shellac, wasting my time and effort. Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone, no matter how cheap it is, because it simply does not do its job properly.

Use for making finish for woodturning.
