Why keep kept out of direct sun? Got for Asian beetles who are attracted to light and sun. What happens if put in window jam in direct sun?

Will this work on geckos?

these are not good at all. they are like contact paper, thin and very difficult to use.

How do the insects die? Do they starve to death or is there something that puts it out of its misery?

Basically they starve to death because they are stuck and cannot get out. Even the larger bugs, like the locusts and grasshoppers, die that wat too.
