MyShoeCovers 1 Fracture Walking Boot Cover - Black, Medium

I wear this cover over my walking boot. I had foot surgery a little over 5 weeks ago. Take care of your feet because foot surgery is the worst! Anyway, if you’re reading this, you’ve got something going on with your lower extremities. So, sorry for that. This cover fits nicely over the boot. I have a medium boot and purchased the large cover. It’s a nice and tight fit. I have only worn the cover twice. It was in the earlier weeks of recovery when I wasn’t really putting my foot down much and it was fine. To be fair, I have not walked around in it full weight bearing. It was icy one of the times I was out with it and I was super scared. It felt very slippery. I had my crutches and my husband but I still wouldn’t be comfortable in this if there was potential for ice or black ice. Snow would be better. I go back to work in 6 days so I may need to wear this over the boot to get into work if it’s rainy or snowy for another week or so... depending on how nice my surgeon is feeling about me transitioning to shoes. If it was icy I’d probably just wear the boot uncovered for the traction on the bottom. I certainly think this cover is a great value and does well enough. It’s helpful when you’re in a not to helpful situation. It helps when you have a leg or foot out of the game that you’d like to keep dry. I would imagine a downpour and heavy snow would go right through the cover but certainly for a quick walk to and from inside it’s fine. I think if you were walking a few blocks or a mile this would eventually come apart over time. Which isn’t unreasonable as it’s just a cover. It will certainly also keep your boot clean and debris away from the lower openings.

This worked great for me on a vacation where I knew I'd need to do some walking in both beach sand and a forest floor blanketed in pine needles. While there are certainly still holes further up the boot that aren't covered, blocking the main opening at the toe was sufficient for my needs. Elastic and material were both sufficiently durable for my occasional use. Sizing guide was accurate; I wear a medium boot and was glad I ordered the large cover as indicated.

I recently broke my foot & this is not my first rodeo to wear a boot (25+ years ago). We have been having nonstop rains & I live in a rural area surrounded by pastures. After getting my foot/walking boot soaking wet & having plenty of grass, stickers & a june bug along for the ride, I went to my trusty Amazon website & found this amazing walking boot covers! Then I discovered having my walking boot covered when going out to restaurants & visiting the restrooms was also an added plus. I have seen some nasty restroom floors but with a walking boot I NOTICED them & very thankful to have this cover! The cover is washable, repels the rain, stout elastic (easy to put on) yet stays on & made extremely well. The company says to order one size larger than your walking boot (which may seem ridiculous & too big) but this information is true & your walking boot is covered very well.

Very well made, and fit perfectly (for the size I ordered). I purchased this just before I had to travel back east, where I got experience a "nor-easter" in upstate NY. They got over a foot of wet snow. The boot worked perfectly, and never leaked a bit. It even had better grip on the ice and snow than I expected. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because I wish it came up a little higher. Several times snow and slush slopped over the top lip of the cover, and went down into the boot. Not a good feeling. But other than that one small factor, it was a very good thing to have in such conditions. I highly recommend it. (Maybe if they made a companion "gator" to come down over it from the top, then that would be a real winning combination!)

If you're stuck in a boot, this is a must-have. I don't wear shoes in the house, so the thought of wearing a boot outside and then trudging that dirt all through my house, for four weeks, was not appealing. For the first few days, I used Clorox wipes to clean the boot when I first came inside, but quickly realized I would single-handedly destroy the environment if I kept that up. These covers solve that issue! I have a size small boot and the medium fits perfectly. Easy to get on and stays in place well (no sliding all around). I assumed that one wouldn't last the entire four weeks, but I am three weeks in and there are no rips or tears. And this is with me going on 1-2 mile walks every day - both on cement sidewalks and through the woods. This cover holds up to everything. It also has the added benefit of keeping your foot warm and providing waterproof protection. We just got a snow storm, and I was able to walk for a mile in the snow and stay dry. Highly recommend.

You need this!!!! Unfortunately I’ve needed a boot a couple times before and I hate the thought of wearing my boot inside if it’s been out in the world stepping on god knows what. I found myself out in BFE whilst in a boot after a week long of rainstorms. It ended being a mud bath and I was filthy at the end of the day, but my dang boot stayed clean. This thing has even gone to Mexico with me while I was stuck in a post op shoe. I walked around in the sand no problem. It’s held up to torrential rain. I’ve washed it in the sink and it holds up well, dries quickly and it’s lasted me multiple uses from 2022-25. Slip resistant, durable thick material , fits my medium size post op shoe and boot (I’m a shoe size 8). Now it’s ugly as hell but it can’t get much worse than the boot, can it. 10/10 recommend.

This is a really great cover for my CAM orthopedic boot. I've been impressed with the quality of the material and how much traction it provides in light snow and rain. It dries quickly and wipes off easily by scraping your foot on a mat. Would definitely purchase again without hesitation.

I have to wear a walking boot for at least the next month. This is a first for me, so it's been hard because I live on a farm and have lots of outdoor chores to do, boot or no boot. Because I'm supposed to wear it all the time it was very annoying every time I had to go outside to work as I didn't want to get the bottom of the boot dirty, then wear it in the house. I was using garbage bags over the boot, twisting the top tight and securing it to the top lip of the boot with a large paper clamp. By the time I would get done with chores the bag often had holes in the bottom and the boot was dirty anyway. I was thrilled to find this boot cover, but skeptical that it could withstand the harsh environment of the farm. Gravel walks, cement barn floors, wet pastures, etc., but it was worth a try. I am very pleased to say the boot cover is working great. It is holding up well, easy for me to put on and take off and can be washed. I love it, and best of all.......no more clumsy trash bags.
