Is this a power amp and if so how many watts?

No power. It's a preamp/DI (direct input, if you're new at this). It's pretty tonally versatile. But if you get one, you'll need something else to make it loud. I got mine for recording. But I've played gigs where this was my rig and the PA was basically my power amp. That's how Geddy used his live with Rush. If you look at pictures of their last few tours, you'll notice that the back line on his side of the stage was clothes driers full of tshirts in stead of amplifiers.

What is best way to run unit innto a bass amp?

Sansamp actually included an option to sum (mix, add) the 2 channels to 1 channel. Drive and Deep become mixed together and the output of the Drive and Deep output jacks is the same. It takes about 5 minutes and a screwdriver, is easy, and is reversible. I found instructions online you could search for, in short, you remove the bottom panel and swap a jumper. There are two jumpers, the other affects the mute switch to become a bypass. Sansamp says it voids the warranty, so I'd get a guitar tech or electrical buddy to help maybe. Another option, when you are not pretending to be geddy lee, is to use only the output of the drive channel. The drive channel is actually just a sansamp RPM, a discontinued, sought after preamp. Great product by the way, it's got geddy's name on it, but I find that I can use it for anything.
