Most shoe brands don't pay enough attention to slippers. The way they're designed and made hasn't changed in decades. RockDove's mission is to take the world's most neglected shoe and give it a modern makeover. We experiment with innovative fabrics used in performance footwear, and apply design principles from fashion shoemaking. We're always thinking about slippers and how to make them even better. This focus on a single product helps us stick to our core beliefs in business - the 4 C's: RockDove was created for five birdwatchers of the Los Angeles Audubon Society in 2002. They were our customers, when we weren't yet a slipper company, but a beachside workshop in Santa Monica, California that resoled hiking boots. For fifteen years we protected the feet of avid adventurers as they trekked punishing terrains across southern California's mountains and deserts. As their local shoe cobbler, when customers had footwear needs, they came to us. And over time they asked for something that was badly missing, not in their time conquering the outdoors but in their lives at homeโquality indoor shoes to console their high-mileage, trail-weary feet. So for Christmas that year, we handmade five pairs of slippers for our long time Audubon customers using a low-cut boot last. Shoe brands in southern California, where sunny beaches and flip flops rule, don't pay much attention to slippers. So we had little to build on. However, we did know how to make comfortable, long lasting footwear. Using mattress memory foam, gel insoles, anti-shock cushioning from hiking boots, and more, we designed slippers with the goal of comforting extremely tired feet. Two months later when we sent out a newsletter about our little experiment, customers responded with 350 mail orders. We named our slippers after the most mundane bird we knew, the rock dove (pigeon) often seen strutting the boardwalks of Santa Monica Pier. Theyโre a memento of where weโre from and what we represent. To this day our legacy of creating footwear as if for the most exhausted, adventure-wearied feet lives on. But adventure isnโt always hanging on a rope off the side of a mountain. Everyone lives their own version of it, every single day. We make slippers so that anyone whoโs on their feet all dayโnot just passionate outdoorsmen but teachers, chefs, nurses, cashiers, traffic cops, postal workers, and moreโcan count on switching into the worldโs most comfortable slippers once they get home. Our quest to get comfort down to a science pushed us to become one of the earliest adopters of high-density memory foam in slippers. In 2004, we reached out to local sleep experts at the Long Beach Mattress Company to source their memory foam toppers, which we then molded into insoles. But mattress comfort didn't exactly translate to slipper comfort. So we obsessively tweaked the density and firmness ratings of our foams to create that โsweet spotโ level: one that offers incredible comfort, yet not so much cushioning that youโll feel like walking in quicksand. Today, at the heart of each RockDove slipper is a multilayered foam constructionโa 40-70D memory foam pressure-mapped to every part of the plantar aspect, a support foam that adds firmness, and an anti-shock EVA layer.

Comfy,great buy,recommend to all.
I put them on as soon as I get them, and they are definitely soft and comfortable. I wear a size 10.5 In a regular shoe, so I ordered the same size and they fit perfectly. It must be noted that they don't have an arch, flat bottom insoles, but that's the way with most house slippers. Definitely worth ever penny, very happy with purchase.

Very Well Made
I put them on right away and they are so comfortable. They look like they were custom made for me, size fit me perfectly. I wore them outside to get my mail from mailbox at the curb, they kept my feet nice and warm with good traction too.

Steps of Comfort Through Mortal Realms
In the quiet journey of daily existence, where the burdens of the world weigh upon the weary soul, the RockDove Menโs Original Two-Tone Memory Foam Slippers offer a respite both gentle and firm. Each step is cushioned, as though one treads upon clouds imbued with reason and care, the memory foam molding to the foot with a patient attentiveness that soothes the body as the mind contemplates its path. The two-tone design is pleasing to the eye, modest yet dignified, and the fit is generous, embracing the foot with a sense of security and ease.Yet, no creation is without flaw. The durability, though sufficient for indoor use, may falter under prolonged wear, and the softness, while comforting, can sometimes yield too readily, requiring occasional adjustment. Still, the slippers provide an honest, tangible comfort, transforming the ordinary act of walking across the home into a moment of ease.Four stars for a product that merges practicality with a tender attentiveness, a humble yet worthy companion for the steps we take through the day.

Great slippers after a short break-in period
Updated review:At first, I thought these slippers were too small and that I should have sized up. I ordered the 9โ10 Wide and they initially felt snug, especially because I usually like extra toe room. After wearing them for a short break-in period, I realized I was wrong. They stretched out nicely and now fit exactly how I originally hoped they would. The quality feels good, they look nice, and the memory foam has become very comfortable. My advice: order your normal size, but expect them to feel snug at first. Give them about a week or two to break in before deciding they are too small.

Very comfortable and with lots of cushioning. They are not to hot but still keep your feet warm. Quality is also good. Sizing was spot on. They're is no arch support if that is what you are looking for.

My Son Loves These-Finally a Pair That Fits and Feels Good!
After purchasing and returning several other slippers, I finally scored with RockDove's Men's Original Two-Tone Memory Foam Slippers. I purchased them for my adolescent son, and he absolutely loves them. They're soft, comfortable, and provide great traction and arch support. The only downside is that his feet tend to sweat in them, but that could be due to our humid climate and the fact that he wears them without socks.Overall, these are fantastic slippers with great versatility and comfort. We're very happy with this purchase.

Very pleased
These slippers turned out to be a choice. Itโs hard to really know what youโre getting when you buy footwear online. They fit well. Stay on. And are comfortable around the house. They are washable. And a good price.

Itโs a good quality shoe for the price very comfortable the only issue I have is I wear a size 15 shoe so I ordered a size 15 an it doesnโt really stay on my foot it falls off very easily especially when walking or moving around I have neuropathy really bad in my feet and legs so I dont have much feeling so the slipper falls off an trips me up so might want to order smaller size overall good product

Very comfy!
These slippers are very comfortable!Certain floors in our house can be very cold, especially in the winter. I always liked the idea of wearing slippers, but my feet would always get clammy after 30 minutes, and then be that much colder when I take them off, so it seemed pointless. I did a bunch of research and figured I'd give these RockDove slippers a try.I wear size 10 shoes, confirmed against their size chart that my feet measure 10 inches from toe to heel, so going with their size 9-10 (for 10.6 inch feet) would be good. Unfortunately figured out as soon as I put them on that they were uncomfortably too small, my heels hung off the back. I measured the inside of the size 9-10 with a ruler and they were 9 7/8". I returned those and ordered the size 10.5 (should be for 10.8" feet). Those too were a little too small, but would be ok-ish if i pushed my feet as far into the slippers as I could (they measured 10.25" inside). I decided to try them for a few days and thankfully they stretched out enough that they're very comfortable now.The memory foam is really good, the foam you stand on returns to original shape about a minute after taking them off. And the memory foam surrounding the top and front of your foot is quite nice as well. The rubber outsole helps if you step in some water someone has spilled on the floor without you realizing. Also helps as a barrier against the cold floor. They are warm, but not too much. Definitely feel the warmth wearing them, but my feet aren't clammy and incredibly cold when I take them off.My 8 year old likes them so much, she asked if they come in her size. So now I have to try finding a much smaller pair for her!At just over $30, I was really hoping I wasn't going to be wasting money trying these, but I am not disappointed. I'd recommend them to anyone asking.

Very comfortable slipper
I liked this slipper with the memory foam feature, yet the quality is not premium (some strings got loss after only one week of usage but it can be managed with scissor!!).Overall, this product worth the each penny and will keep your feet's worm :).
