Bad design - front wheel wobbles bad!
I bought a Solve-it brand dog stroller/trailer years ago and I was very happy with it. It rode super smooth, but after all the years, the fabric tore and my dogs passed and so I got rid of it. I now have a Malinois and she loves to run, but in the Florida heat, she can get overheated while I’m skating, especially in the summer, so I thought I’d buy another Solve-It trailer/stroller. Well, the front wheel for the stroller has a terrible wobble!!! It’s not mild at all! I called customer service and they graciously sent me a whole new kit. I was excited to finally be able to use my stroller, but nope…same thing! I called again and they sent me another kit…same thing! I now have 3 stroller kits and they all wobble!! I called a bike shop and they said they’d try to fix it. They trued the wheel so it rolls straight, but they called me to let me know is just engineered poorly. The arm is too flimsy for the weight. I am sooo disappointed. I now have this bulky trailer in my room that I can still use as a bike trailer, but what I really wanted to use it for was to go skating with my dog, and now I can’t use it and it’s too late to return. I do not recommend the stroller kit! Only get it if you only want to use it as a bike trailer…

RECOMMENDED. Easy to switch back and forth
I bought the trailer for my bike, and we loved in. Then winter hit and it was a little chilly out for a bike ride. I sucked it up and got the conversion kit, and now this is our favorite way to ride! I love it...cup holder, easy to assemble, goes anywhere. Awesome. The only annoying thing is sometimes the front wheel vibrates like crazy, bounces back and forth. To counter that, I just lean back on the trailer; take the weight off the front wheel for a bit, and it recenters straight again. Not a problem, but I get where it would bug runners. Easy to pivot in small spaces (I've got a large basset hound), and easy to swtich back and forth from stroller to bike trailer.

Great Concept, Execution is a bit Meh
Updated 07212016: After speaking with Solvit I discovered why one of the issues exists - the one with the brake. When some idiot assembled the cart originally, they put the wheel brackets on upside down. So while our cart has amazing clearance and sits up very high, the brake can't reach the wheel. They also gave some instructions to work on getting the wobble out of the front wheel and admitted this was a known problem they were having with the manufacturing. So for their assistance with the one issue and the actual non-issue of the brake, I gave them 1 additional star. *** ORIGINAL REVIEW BELOW *** We ordered this pet stroller conversion to add onto our HoundAbout Large Pet Trailer and while the general function of the product is okay it has two major issues that we will have to address with Solvit. 1) The brake when mounted into the mounting holes DOES NOT REACH THE WHEELS! It would appear that they made some adjustments to the product (possibly smaller wheels?) but didn't make any modifications to the brake assembly. Some users have indicated they drilled holes to make the brake fit, but when buying a new product it doesn't seem reasonable to expect the consumer to have to modify it in order to use it as it is designed to be used. 2) The front wheel has too much play inside the mounting bracket so it develops a severe shimmy when pushing the carrier. We do see that there are adjustments that can be made to address this but it again seems that the product should work 'out of the box' without having to make serious adjustments to it. We enjoy the trailer to tow behind our bikes but it seems the stroller add on was not properly thought out or designed.

Loved it, but the poor quality caused it to break in multiple places.
Our 9yo German Shepherd has severe arthritis and limps after more than 5 minutes of physical activity (walk, run, etc.). We bought the original Happy Ride & soon realized the stroller attachment would better suit our lifestyle- we walk more than we bike. The stroller was easy for me to assemble (I didn’t have to ask my boyfriend for help) & it worked great for a while, but I did notice the carriage slightly tilt forward with the stroller front wheel attachment causing my dog to feel off balance. I also removed the inside pad- there was no Velcro or clip to keep it from slipping, which also caused discomfort to our pup. The quality of the stroller declined significantly after the first time we tried to disassemble it to fit in our car. Ever since, the front tire pole has been near impossible to remove, the handle bar has never been as tight and has scratched the carriage support beams, the stroller bounces as we walk causing the front metal piece to scrape along the ground (and we’d walk with weight against the back to prevent the front of the carriage touching the ground), and recently the nut connecting the front tire pole to the carriage BROKE when we slowly went over a wire cover that was running along the sidewalk. The stroller is now UNUSABLE. I’m SO upset because I loved the stroller at first as did our dog, and after spending a ton of money (I saved to buy this thing), I can’t really take my arthritic senior on the walks and adventures he used to love and most importantly, deserves!!

Great Stroller! Great Trailer!
I have an older. well used, Solvit medium bicycle trailer. There was no problem attaching this stroller conversion kit - fast and easy. The front wheel is on a swivel which makes it a breeze to push even in deep(ish) sand with a 20 pound dog inside. Cannot say enough about the quality of the conversion kit. It looks good, too. Had a comment that our little rig "must be the Rolls Royce of dog strollers" - would give the whole thing 6 stars, if I could.

Well worth the money. Good for large dogs.
Bought it together with a bike cart. Well made and super easy to switch from cart to buggy. I of my dogs run by the bike and when she gets tired she hops in the cart. Takes a bit if patience and a few cheese sticks but she is happy now. The other dog is a large 13 years old Anatolian who still walks but not far. Today was his first stroller ride. Took a few more cheese sticks. Took me a while to find a stroller with regular and large wheels.

So Disappointed!
The gooseneck mounting plate kit provided was not long enough for the frame of my carrier, so once securing it with one bolt there was no way to secure the second bolt because the based was about 1 1/2" too short. Also, the gooseneck assembly, which connects the wheel to the mounting plate, would not fit completely inside the housing. There was something wrong with the way it was welded together so the gooseneck stopped about a whole inch shy of fitting inside the housing. This made it impossible to secure the wheel to the mounting securely since the holes would not line up for the quick release part. Lastly, one of the dials on the handle bars was secured on the inside making it impossible to secure one side of the handle bars to the carrier. If there was a way to swivel the dial to the outside it would work, but unfortunately its secured in place, so one dial was in the proper location, the one wasn't. This kit is being returned for an exchange and hopefully I don't get a repeat product because I love the carrier! Where's quality control for this?
