Very stick and good quality but it’s hard to pull it out if updates the box design will be better

Have been purchasing cling wrap from Sam’s Club for decades! Never again, with the sliding cutter on this product, I will never go back!

I wanted to find the same kind of plastic wrap like stores use on meat and bakery products - something softer and stickier than typical store-bought plastic wrap. This wrap is exactly what I was looking for. Perhaps the best way I can describe it is that it is the sort of wrap that crumples up into a small soft ball and stays that way when you are throwing it away - I bet you know the feeling. If you want a big roll of regular store-bought Saran wrap, this is not it. But if you want what the stores themselves use to wrap the things they are selling, yes, this is what you want. It is trickier to handle than typical store-bought plastic wraps - if you try to carry a sheet from one counter to another you'll be frustrated. But if you lay it out flat across the counter as you unroll it and let the countertop help you keep it flat and unstuck to itself, you'll be fine. It seals great and, in my opinion, is plenty strong including when it is pulled (gently) over sharp edges. Perhaps that is one other difference between this wrap and typical store-bought wraps: you don't need to pull this tight to get a seal - this wrap relies on sticking to itself instead, and it does a wonderful job of that.

I have purchesed Daily Chef Food Service Film in the past and I was very pleased with it's performance. This Food Service Cling Film Plastic Food Wrap is useless. It is so thin that it sticks to itself before it even comes off of the roll. The cutter doesn't go all the way to the end of the wrap so you have to tear the remaining edge which makes the wrap stick to itself. I have tired different ways to stretch the wrap but once it is off of the roll there is no way to straighten it so that you can wrap something. I had to give it one star only because it wouldn't let me not at least give one star. Don't waste your money.

If you read other reviews, one of the points repeatedly made was how damaged the item was upon arrival. And I was hoping that I would avoid that issue by ordering other items together in a larger package (not knowing specific reasons as to why others were damaged). Oh, well, I suppose that the idea would never work if the Amazon delivery guys treat the packages roughly to begin with for whatever reason while delivering. Thankfully, the rest of the item wasn't damaged, so I was able to set it up and try it without any problem. At the moment, I haven't used duct tape or anything yet, like some reviewers did, but it certainly crossed my mind whenever the top rises a little upon pulling up the plastic. I may tape the top down - for instance, when the weight of the roll of plastic wrap gets lighter in the future. We will see. Now, the product itself. So far, the plastic wrap itself is quite promising in that it is quite sticky and even stretchy. However, I've also noticed that it sticks to the plastic cutter guide at each cut, which is slightly annoying because it is now something to pay attention to. Before, I used something similar that I had purchased from one of the big wholesalers that requires a membership (and now I don't), and it was perfect - right amount of stickiness, which meant that it was sticky enough to stay on any items that you want to wrap with it but also didn't stick to the cutter guide. And it lasted for a long time. We will see how this product performs in the long run because this will also last for a long time. And, lastly, I should've kept the cutter from the old one. I certainly did cross my mind then, but also I thought I would buy one that has a cutter. As you may know, it makes a night and day difference when you have a cutter. It turns out that not all of plastic wrap products have one. And that is the main reason why I bought it. And, so far, the cutter seems to cut fine.

I am so happy to have found this product. I initially bought it as the 12" plastic wrap at the store was too narrow for my needs, and I'm so happy I took the chance. If you look at the lower star reviews, you'll see a general complaint that this is to thin and clingy, but if you're over the age of 35, you'll recognize that this is very close to original plastic wrap before the formulation was changed. Modern plastic wrap, low-density polyethylene, is much thicker but less stretchy and far less clingy than old school polyvinylidene chloride. I'm pretty sure this is polyvinylidene chloride. This is that great, super clingy, oftentimes frustrating wrap from yesteryear, and I couldn't be happier to have found it.

So I wanted to try plastic wrap one more time before I gave up on it altogether. Last time I used it was 25 years ago. It's still a nightmare to use but the cutting edge with a blue cutter does really make a difference. But after I cut it and before it gets to its destination I still have to be as careful as an artist trying to move gold leaf to an intricate project outside on a windy day as if my life depends on it so it doesn't automatically cling and grab itself into a ball as soon as I start pulling it away from the cutter. Ngl.

Great value. Much cheaper than what you get at the store. Will last a looooong time.
