Rockler Silicone Glue Applicator Kit, 3-Piece Wood Glue Brush & Spreader

This was a great purchase. It makes gluing easier. It’s durable and easy to use and cleanup for the next time.

Immediately used this tray and brush to glue up boards for a project. Of course I forgot to rinse out the brush since I got detracted with getting clamps adjusted and boards flat. Next day went to workshop and just as advertised, the glue peeled right off! The bristles of the brush are a bit thin so it is possible they could be pulled off but being careful peeled the glue off brush and tray with no damage. It worked great at spreading the glue plus forgetting to wash up does not cause any problems! The tray is large enough to hold plenty of glue for most projects. Plus, the spreader is great for large projects. Speeds up the spreading process so don't worry about glue setting before things get clamped together. Very pleased with this and plan to use it a lot!

These silicone glue applicators are life changing for wood workers. People probably wonder whats all the hype about when it comes to these things. Well if you glued up wood on a regular basis then you would know. There are surprisingly few options for spreading wood glue. I think using acid brushes are the most common method. Even though acid brushes have been used for a long time for this purpose. They have never been a great solution for spreading wood glue in things like rabbits, dados, dovetails, dowel holes, mortises, box joints, and so on. Simply because the little bristles on the acid brushes always seem to come off and end up trapped in the glue on your work piece and you are left trying to pick them out of the glue. Also an acid brush can only be used once and it has to be thrown away because there is no way to clean them. With these silicone brushes though. That same brush can be used over and over again. Wet wood glue can simply be washed off the bush with water, or you can just opt to let the brush sit while the glue completely dries over night and peel the wet glue off the brush the next day. I prefer the later as its easy and the glue tends to peel off in one fell swoop. Best thing about these brushes is they dont leave bristles in the wood. Same goes for the applicator tray and spreader. Rockler really hit the nail on the head with this kit. So if you have not already done it people. Throw away those acid brushes and rollers and pick this kit up. You wont regret it. As someone who glues up wood on a daily basis. These Silicone brushes have been life changing for me.

I use this for applying wood glue to new construction. Works as you would hope. And dry glue peals off easily when done.

A good product at a decent price, very useful for local use.

This glue set was awesome enough for me to leave a review. It's easy to use and clean and has all the supplies for leveling your glue. I'm using it for fabricating costumes and props but I bet it's great for special effects makeup artists as well. Can't believe I didn't have this in my workshop until now. If you're doing any amount of glueing with liquid glue for any craft projects don't debate getting this, it's a total game changer.

This is a cool tool for woodworkers that do lots of glue ups. Easy to clean, spreads glue evenly and helps reduce squeeze out. I love it.

The glue doesn't really come off that easily like it shows in the photo unless you have a big pile of glue. If you have drops of glue here and there, it's a pain to take it off, especially from the brush. And who wants to waste a pile of glue?

Beim Arbeiten mit Holzleim kommt bei mir immer wieder vor, dass ich mir Holzleistchen zum Verstreichen suchen muss. Das nervt manchmal. Mit diesem Silikonset habe ich eine gute Alternative gefunden. Die Teile sind sehr massiv und dennoch flexibel. Ein schönes Produkt, dass den Weg in meine Werkstatt gefunden hat.

I truly wish I had bought this product sooner because it definitely helps in the glue up process. The clean up afterwards is also a snap..!! Thanks

I should have bought this years ago. It is easy to clean when the glue dries out and feels like a high quality product. I will be getting another for non food safe glues.

J'ai commandé pour tester vu le prix très accessible. Résultat : totalement convaincu pour le set. Facile à utiliser et surtout encore plus facile pour nettoyer. Car la matière fait que la colle ne sèche pas sur ces 3 accessoires. Vous pouvez donc simplement enlever la colle à la main, même après quelques jours (pour ceux qui sont pris par le temps) Je recommande donc
