What is the farthest distance away will the remote work?

Mine both reach out up to 40 ft or more.

How sensitive is the motion sensor

The motion sensor is fairly sensitive. I had to move light so passing vehicles wouldn’t set it off. It has a wide area it is sensitive to movement (guess at 175 degrees) and about 20-30 feet in front depending on angle.
