Great Value
Works great! Very pleased with the performance. This is my second infrared camera. Got my first one (different brand) many years ago and it finally gave up the ghost. Glad i chose this model. Great value.

Not just a toy, it's a handy little tool
This is a handy little tool to troubleshoot things around the house, not just a toy. Most recently I used it to help diagnose issues with one of the AC units in my house.

App is the only limitation
This is my first thermal camera and I'm impressed with it's size and performance! I can see studs in my walls, my footprints after I've walked on the carpet, and various other things. I have not used it yet for serious diagnostic purposes, but it's definitely fun!The only issue is the app on Android is a bit clunky. The image on the screen will randomly stutter (which I'm suspecting is a calibration, but still, it's jarring). Also the app just feels slow. The temperature points update rather slowly. Much slower than 25Hz.These things can all be fixed through updates, however, hence why I'm not going to 3 stars.

Lightning Version Works Good, Just Not with an iPhone 15 or Newer
UPDATE: I am revising this review to 1 star down from 4. The combination of the camera plus the USB-C adapter cable is at best flaky. The software now rarely recognizes that the camera and cable have been plugged into the phone. Don’t bother trying to use this with an iPhone that is equipped with USB-C. Infi Ray needs to update the camera with a USB-C connector rather than using a Lightning connector.I have been using the iOS/Lightning version of this for a while. It is a nice piece of hardware. I bought the adapter cable to use it with my iPad Pro and iPhone 16 Pro. The cable has some benefits and some drawbacks. Where I could one-hand shoot with my older iPhone 13, I now need 2 hands: one to control the camera and one to control the phone/iPad. A rigid adapter would have been better for the most part. The benefits would be that since the camera is so small, it now is able to fit into places where it could not when connected rigidly to the phone.

Tiny size and works great on initial testing.
Note: The little extender in the picture is not included. My camera came with a case, a lightning extender cable, micro lens adapter, and a lens cover for the micro adapter. When used the micro lens is held onto the camera by a magnet.I wanted this InfiRay thermal camera to help with finding an automotive parasitic draw. I am impressed that it is small and powerful. It has a lightning plug which I do not like, especially since all modern consumer electronics are switching to USB-c. I probably got this on sale so they can get rid of inventory before the release of their new model. My iPhone has an Otter Box Defender case and the camera would not plug into my phone with the case on. The camera comes with a 14.5 inch lighting cable extender which was able to plug into my phone with the case on. However, if I use the cable, I have to hold the phone with one hand and the camera in the other or pinch the cord and phone together at the same time which would have been awkward and probably not level. Then I would have to try to not let the camera loose and have it swing and hit something. To solve the cord issue, I bought a nub type lighting cord extender, as shown in the picture. This allowed me to have the camera rigidly attached and level and it worked great. I was able to turn my phone so the camera was on top and the screen orientation automatically flipped.

What's not to like?
This is a great little addon for my Android phone. For the same price as my Klein Tools TI250 thermal imager you get so much more - much better resolution, many adjustments, many color options. plus a macro lens with a focal point of around 1.5". This make my Klein TI250 look like a child's toy.The only downside is it will not fit into the USB-C port if you have a shock case installed on your phone. It uses a magnet to stay in place and will just fall out if the case is there. To get around this I used wire clippers and cut away part of the bottom of the protective addon shock case but left the corners intact. With this modification, the case still stays on fine and the InfiRay P2 Pro Thermal Camera fits and stays in place. With this workaround, I am very happy with this camera. The resolution and operation is great. It does wear down your phone battery within a few hours, however. So you need to be mindful of that. There are complains about the Android App that runs the camera in the Android reviews, but I found no trouble with the app - it works great. Maybe they fixed whatever people were complaining about.
