**Q: Can I record from my VHS tape to a DVD with this devise?**
A: Hi Janet,This is a great recorder but you can't record from the VHS to a DVD and you can't record on the DVD from the TV either. It works great if you just want to record a program from the TV to the VHS though.  Hope this answers your question. Carol

A: Yes if you have the connection

**Q: I have a tv which takes an hdmi cable. can i use thisvcr/dvd player to play my old movies ?**
A: Usually HDMI TV's have the yellow, red & white outputs aswell. I would check for those first. But there is a converter I'll post the link below.
