Mane 'n Tail Original Formula Shampoo and Conditioner Twin Pack, For Healthier Looking Hair, 355 ml

My hairdresser told me about this after I shared with her I wanted more hair growth. She said it’s brilliant for helping hair grow stronger and healthier , it was originally made for horses, which says a lot about how nourishing it is! She’s used it for six months and her hair has grown loads and looks so glossy, she looks stunning! Her sister has used it for years and her hair is stunning too, so I had to try it! After just a few washes, my hair feels softer, thicker, and much cleaner between washes. It gives a lovely fresh feel without any heavy residue, and you only need a small amount each time. It’s safe to use on extensions if you massage the shampoo into the scalp and let the suds run through the hair rather than scrubbing into locks, and the conditioner is ok to go on the lower hair but avoid the tapes and bonds. I’m really impressed so far and excited to keep using it, I can already see why so many people swear by it! Worth every penny as I was paying double for the same size bottles of another product and this is better!

I bought this, like so many others, to try and grow out my hair - I got it cut to two inches below my chin in summer 2013, and hated it, so, back in July, after growing it for a good 10 months, I decided to try and speed up the process, and, whilst it may be my imagination, it has actually grown quicker!! My hair grows pretty fast anyway, but this has just improved the condition so, so much. It hasn't felt weighed down, greasy or flat, which a lot of shampoos can do to my hair. The shampoo itself is just amazing - it smells so clean and my hair feels so soft afterwards. I think the conditioner is the best part, though. My hair is really thick, so I have to use a lot to get it to go through, but the Mane 'n' Tail leaves it feeling really soft without any of that horrible residue, so my hair is protected from breakage and strengthened, which helps it grow faster. This was probably coupled with the fact that I stopped using all heat on my hair, and left the conditioner in for 2 minutes to let it absorb and sink in. My fringe grew from being just on my eyebrows to the bottom of my nose, so a good two inches in about 2 and a half months, but again I think this is because I coupled the Mane 'n' Tail with not using heat etc. Also, it's worth rotating your shampoos, so use a bottle of this, and then go back to your old shampoo to keep the Mane 'n' Tail effective, as mine seems to be less effective the more I've used it. I will say this though: even if you're not growing your hair out, it's worth getting because it's just a really amazing shampoo!!

This product really will not dissapoint! I bought it intending to grow my hair and although only having used it for around a week, I can already see that my hair is thicker and looks far healthier. Although visably it does not look any longer it feels it, as the shampoo and conditioner has replenished the overall condition of my hair and ensured that it looks thick and managable all day. However, as lots of other reviews state, it does make your hair quite knotted which can be a pain. It feels soft and looks shiny and due to the seemingly increased thickness, styling my hair in 'up-does' has been much easier and looks far nicer. One thing I would warn is that if you use hairspray on your hair, the next time you wash it with mane n' tail, it wont give you as good as results, as on two occasions I have used hairspray on my hair in the evening and when i've washed it in the morning, the shampoo makes my hair feel dry and course and the conditioner does little to help, making styling difficult. However, considering the knockout price and the effects that it has on your hair, it really is a winner. But bare in mind, this is not a miracle growth treatment, It's just a very good shampoo and conditioner.

Took the plunge after reading a few mixed reviews.. And realised that everyone is different and will react to shampoos differently. I have to say - I don't think I will be using anything else after discovering this. I said I would come back and leave a review after the shampoo honeymoon period was over (you know.. when you buy a new shampoo and it's great and then your hair gets used to it and it's not so great anymore?). I've been using this for nearly 3 months now, I love it. I feel like I have a mane of hair, when I curl my hair it stays like it for days and has a natural wave in it. It's SO fluffy when I dry it and I love it, good fluffy not frizz fluffy. I've been receiving a lot of compliments since using it, it's made my hair very soft and shiny and the growth is fantastic. I had a load of hair lopped off at the end of February and my hairdresser can't believe how much it's grown already (I wish I took a before photo now!). I used to use Aussie Mega and loved it.. But this is even better! And it's not expensive and lasts for around 2 months.. Actually maybe a month and a half if I'm being honest. The product itself, the shampoo has a very umm.. viscous texture haha. It took a bit of getting used to at first, it's super lathery and doesn't smell of much at all. Though I would say my hair smells nice after! Basically I love this shampoo and conditioner, I'd be pretty devestated if I couldn't buy it anymore. My mum is just about to start Chemo, the type that thins your hair and doesn't make it fall out apparently. I've just stocked up on it for her after seeing some of the reviews where people have had Alopecia and it's grown back. Lau x ------ ******* EDIT - 11.05.16 ******* Hello! Thought I would come back and edit my review. My mum is nearing the end of her chemo/radiotherapy treatment, she has 8 treatments left to go. She thinks that this shampoo is the best thing ever, her chemo wasn't the type to make your hair fall out (unless you are really unlucky) but would most likely thin it quite a bit. She is 5 weeks into her treatment and her hair is incredible. She has been recommending this shampoo to lots of people at her hospital and work colleagues who are going through similar treatments. I was with her at the weekend and I have to say her hair looked lovely, thick and fluffy - Just how mine goes when using it. Hair loss has been minimal and hair thinning has been pretty mum non-existant. She did say that some of her grey hairs fell out but she won't complain about that ;) Lau x

I had been intrigued by this product foe a while and finally got around to purchasing. It took a while arriving but when it did I took it straight upstairs and washed my hair.... the smell was nothing to comment on, not bad but not like regular shampoos. The consistency of the product is quite thick and slimy but rubbed in well and frothed up and washed out well. Needed to use a lot of conditioner on the ends but I guess that depends on the length of your hair. I dried and styled my hair as normal and it was like I had a new head of hair.... my hair felt so clean, thick and stayed in the straight style I wear my hair in all day. (usually by the end of the day I have one side still beautiful and the other side flicking out all over the place!) I thought I'd hit the jackpot with this product so proceeded to use it everyday for a week, to give it a fair test. The 2nd day was much the same... VERY clean, thick hair. From day 3 onwards my hair began to get very knotted and felt rough and brittle, like I hadn't used conditioner. Styling was harder and my hair just didn't look as clean. I only managed to use this product for 6 days then had to revert back to my old brand. I felt a little disappointed as I LOVED my hair after the first use. So I started using this product for 'special occasions' and it works a treat... this is how I am going to keep using this product from now onwards... no more than once a week or saved for special occasions. If you have the money to purchase a shampoo and conditioner just for those 'special occasions' then I highly recommend it... but if you are looking to use this as a daily shampoo then it wasn't for me.... If you have been interested in this product and read millions of other reviews then buy it... you have to see for yourself. I must say whenever I do use it I get lovely comments about the style and condition of my hair. My hair is natural light blonde and thin, so maybe it works better everyday on other hair types. An interesting product but would I buy when I've run out.... if I had the spare money yes.

I started to suffer from hair loss at the age of 16. After a heavy period of hair loss, I was left with only the remaining stubs of hair at the back of my head. Unfortunately my hair continued to thin until I was 19. After years of thinning and hair loss, my hair stopped growing all together in some sections of my head. I went to a hair specialist, had multiple blood test to determine why my hair would not regrow. I made numerous diet changes, had several tablets and tried multiple products to get some hair growth, but nothing helped. As a teenager my hair caused me anxiety. Having thin uneven hair meant I could never have my hair down. I was incredibly embarrassed. It is important to understand my past problems with my hair, to truly see how much Mane and Tale has 'changed my hair life' Since using Mane N tail, most of my hair has had its first growth cycle since I was 19. I am now 23. This has lead to a huge boost in self confidence. Half of my head now has baby hairs, which are a little bit annoying as I have curly hair, but I am so happy to see them that I don't mind the tiny curls. The new hair is really soft and strong, because of this new growth I'm noticing all my hair at the root is thickening. The back of my head now has hair growing, which is a HUGE deal. I have gone from having just hair that reaches the top of my neck to just past shoulders. All of my hair is not level yet, as the back hair is only half way, but to have this much hair growth is phenominal to me. I still have to have my hair up, but the change is so dramatic I don't mind. I have been using this product for 3 months! I am in no doubt that it is this product that has helped my hair grow, but I also don't damage my hair if I can help it. I don't use a hair dryer ever! I only brush my hair with a big hair conb. I only use my hair straighteners on special occasions. I have my hair up in a bun when at work and out, but when I am home I leave it down. I sleep with my hair in a French plate, this is to reduce knots. I also only wash my hair 3 times a week and only brush it after washed and conditioned. (I also have the spray stay in condition from Mane n Tail) I believe this has also helped with the dramatic growth I'm seeing. Mane n tail is strengthening my hair, but it's so important that I am leaving it alone. If you want the product to work you have to make sure that when your hair grows it stays. It's a short term sacrifice for long term gain. You won't see results if you don't look after the hair. Thank you mane n tail.
