The hardest part of fitting these grilles (2) was removing the remnants of the old ones. They had been glued in place but I eventually got them out using a light hammer and small chisel. In installing these new grilles I had two choices (as you would have with any such): screw them on using the four screw holes in the corners or glue them in place. I rejected the screw option as, in seeking to drill holes in my wall, I’d run the risk of breaking into the main vent hole. Instead, I glued them in place using a couple of dabs of household glue. That should be sufficient to prevent them coming loose e.g. in a high wind, but not enough to make any future replacement difficult. These are well made and I like the incorporation of the fly mesh. Never needed such a thing to date but can see the sense in it.

Some directions on how to separate the louvre panel from the frame would have helped - I managed to break the tabs

Looks great no issues with the build quality. For some reason the main DIY/trade stores in the UK don't sell them in black so had to order from here. Good value too.

Perfect fit, & good quality.

Easy to install, I used it for my tumbledryer vent. The plastic is quite brittle and you need to be careful not to overscrew the plate or it will crack. The first I bought came with a broken grill with two of the four clips snapped off. I tried to make do but eventually ordered another to swap out the grill. The mesh is perfect for keeping out insects but I don’t recommend using with a tumbledryer. I didn’t realise the force of the air pumped out and the mesh does restrict the ventilation. Of course you can easily remove the mesh if not required.

Overall for my usage They were not really of Use perhaps I got The wrong size as They were a shade To small. however I was expecting fixing screws with This product which was not The case. appears They are just meant To attach To your outside vent. would They stay in place without any fixing screws I will never know. overall The Quality of Them looked Good and would well do The job but no proper securing facilities supplied with These vents prevented me for not ordering a bigger sized vent.
