Spear & Jackson 5LPAPS 5 Litre Pump Action Pressure Sprayer

Great pumps dispenser. Easy to use. Has strap to sling it over the shoulder. I used it with blackspot solution on tiles before I jet wash. Inexpensive and does a great job.

Really good, makes job a lot easier

The first time I bought one of these I used it with sodium hypochlorite. It is not specifically designed for this but it worked a treat and got the job done. I should have cleaned it but when I went to try it again, it was all bunged up and pretty useless. I bought another, forgot I bought it (it's an age thing) and bought yet another, but this final one was leaking air. I almost sent it back but instead I donned my Sherlock deerstalker and went to town. O-ring was fine. Seated well and not noticeable issues, so I decided to check for sure and used my old one and it was still leaking, so that wasn't the issue. The next thing was the sprayer lead itself. I undone it and noticed that the tube that goes inside the unit came off like it was coated in butter. Again I turned to the old one and found that it was a tight fit. I swapped the parts, problem solved. Definitely a design fault in some models that need fixing. Are you listening S&J? Everything works fine, the adjustable spray, the pressure with no complaints whatsoever. I've just checked the other new one, still boxed, and the fit is also tight. Nevertheless, this is a potential flaw and deserves a star dropped. Overall a decent sprayer that has served me well but if you have an old one and decide to replace it remember, there might be some useful spare parts available. Update: on closer inspection the fault was a split in the tube that goes inside so that's 2 out of 3 that were perfect for the task.

Overall, great sprayer. Easy to screw together and use. I got this mainly for my greenhouse so I could spray a fine and even mist of water on my tropical plants. I can fill the bottle with a good amount of water to get through all my plants without having to repeatedly fill a small 1L sprayer bottle I had already. You can manually pressurise the bottle with a pump which doesn’t take long and set the sprayer to continuously spray, so it’s very efficient and I don’t have to keep squeezing a bottle manually and hurt my hands. The long nozzle also means I can reach plants from a distance. All the sections to pump, fill and release pressure are tight, without any leaks which can lose pressure like some cheaper brands I have tried before. It has an added strap to put over my shoulder so I don’t have to carry the heavy bottle around. The product is very versatile and not just for the garden. I recently had a stray cat enter my home and it left behind some unwanted fleas. This product was useful as I could buy a large bottle of flea solution at a value price and make use of the product in multiple rooms quickly and efficiently to eradicate any possible infestation. Since you can have various nozzle settings, it is helpful to evenly spread the solution without any wastage.

Light weight, easy to use even when solution with water added. Great value for money.

It’s cheap and very cheerful works with no problems at all I used to spray 4 fence panels & two doors using Barrettine preserver I purchased a Cuprinol fence sprayer months ago but when I went to use it for the first time it would not work.I originally got this sprayer to use with Everbuild waterproofer with the intention of using this one solely for this purpose but with the failure of the much pricier one had no choice but to use it for the panels as well so to conclude this very cheap & cheerful sprayer did both tasks flawlessly there’s a moral to this story but for life of me I can’t figure it out. Jobs a good-un!

It looked good. And it is good, once you get it working properly. The one I received was filled with water and tested. It seemed to do the job, until...it stopped spraying water and started spraying air, even when the end of the supply tube was lying on the bottom of the tank. Eventually, I fround that the end of the supply tube, which had presumably been notched to facilitate its connention to the outlet adapter, had be split too far and as the tube moved around the split opened and closed causing air or water to be forced out. I hope the suppliers/manufacturers read this and get the right sized tubing for the adapter to avoid this happening to other users.

Very good well designed sprayer and so easy to set up and use ! Used it to clean patio with a sodium hypochlorite solution and it did the job very well , it is essential however to thoroughly rinse after using strong mixes for future usage .

Degelijk en doet wat het moet doen. Daarvoor scherp geprijsd.

If you go through a lot of herbicide, this sprayer is an absolute game-changer! Weed sprayers in general can be notoriously fussy. You spend all this time cleaning them out, checking hoses, and tweaking parts, only for them to stop working properly after a while. If you don't want to waste your precious time messing around with mediocre equipment, honestly, just get a fresh one! As sprayers age, the pressure can cause pinholes, leaks, or even crack the housing entirely. That said, these units are sturdy and easy to work with. We actually had an older 8-litre model develop a leak, but we managed to patch the area with Gorilla Glue and heavy tape—now we keep that one strictly as our backup for rough vacant lot jobs! For regular, reliable use without the headache, picking up a new Spear & Jackson unit is well worth every cent. Bottom Line: Smooth operation, great pressure, and saves you the frustration of constantly troubleshooting old, leaky sprayers.

As expected - works to purpose - good product.

Had trouble starting😁 Then simply push the pump and movie started. It's a bit heavy to wear all the time but totally serve its purpose. Happy to have it at home.

I love it
