How big are the photo corners?

They are quite tiny but manageable. They are excellent in that they are almost invisible and have very good adhesion.

Are these large enough to hold envelopes in an album?

If the envelopes are empty then I would think they would work. They hold an 8" x 6" photo. Hope this helps.

Do you use them on the front or back of the photos?

They are like small pockets,slanted across the front side. The back is sticky and sticks to your album page.Put one on each corner of your photo,then place where wanted.Your photo can be taken out if required then replaced into position. Your photo is held in place by a clear frontpiece.

Do they stick to the photo or scrapbook item ?

No, you stick part to the scrapbook and then slot the item into the pocket, you can easily remove the item.
