Works well and pleasant smell.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Eight reviews in one :)
*by D***D on 7 December 2022*

Amazon doesn’t let you review each variation of a product separately, so this is 8 in one: 4 shampoos and 4 conditioners, all for oily hair. I have pretty oily hair, and before these, I washed it every day, which I’m sure didn’t help much. I’ve tried various big brand shampoos and conditioners for greasy hair (some were quite expensive), but they don’t really seem to make a difference. I could just about eek it out to washing every other day, but my hair didn’t feel or look as nice, and I’m a bit picky about it: when my hair doesn’t feel clean, I don’t feel clean, and it’s just unpleasant. But I wanted to wash it less often and my hairdresser recommended trying an organic or natural shampoo and conditioner. I’ve tried eight of these. At the time of this review, I’ve been using them for over a year, and now wash my hair every other day, and alternate between which ever two are open. I find using the same one each time doesn’t work as well for me. I use a dry shampoo (Batiste) on the second day on occasion, but not every time. My hair no longer looks greasy on the second day like it used to with ordinary shampoos and conditioners, it simply doesn’t look freshly-washed. It also doesn’t feel unpleasant to the touch in the way it used to. I can’t say I *love* how it looks and feels, but it doesn’t look like someone poured baby oil over it – which I find to be a big plus! I would still wash it the day before going somewhere nice, but it’s perfectly fine for normal day to day stuff. I’ve gotten used to the lack of foaming from the shampoos, and I’m more careful not to let the shampoo sit on the ends, as I have found them quite drying. Tea tree shampoo: (4/5*) Love, love, LOVE this shampoo. It’s got a lovely smell that’s fresh and doesn’t smell like some kind of nit shampoo (as some tea tree shampoos do). It doesn’t lather much, but I like to use a tiny bit first wash, then another small amount as a second shampoo, and then it lathers more. It cleans brilliantly, and I even tried using it without any conditioner at all, and my hair still felt great. Which is impressive, because if I did that with TresEmmé or Pantene, I think my hair would feel like straw. I wouldn’t do this more than once in a row, as it does dry and the ends become very Crystal Tips-esque, but missing it every so often if you were in a rush is manageable. Tea tree conditioner: (4/5*) Whereas the shampoo smelled really fresh and almost zingy, this smelled medicinal and quite unpleasant. When I first reviewed this conditioner, I wasn’t impressed. I felt it left my hair feeling very heavy and a bit greasy. However, I wasn’t going to bin a whole bottle of conditioner and my closest female family members don’t suffer oily hair, but the exact opposite, so I kept using it in between my grapefruit conditioner, and after a few weeks it began to feel completely different. I think it just took some time for my hair to get used to it, because now it feels as light as any other conditioner I’ve used. The smell hasn’t grown on me, though, but it doesn’t linger in my hair. (I have since bought the tea tree shampoo and conditioner in the 5 lite refills, so I think that says how much I like them). Orange and grapefruit shampoo: (4/5*) Gosh, this smells *divine*! So zingy and invigorating. It’s also a great colour. Like the tea tree shampoo, it doesn’t lather much so I do two little shampoos to get that really clean feeling. Again, it does really dry the ends, so be careful not to let it sit for too long. Orange and grapefruit conditioner: (3/5*) Definitely better than the tea tree conditioner in the beginning. It smells pretty much the same as the shampoo. It’s fairly thick but not overly so. It washes out well, and again, the smell doesn’t linger. It does leave my hair a little heavier than my previous ‘normal’ conditioners. My hair just didn’t adjust, even after nearly a whole bottle. It’s still slightly heavy feeling, which I dislike, but not greasy or unclean in any way. I probably wouldn’t pick this again unless the others were unavailable. Lemon and tea tree shampoo: (5/5*) Delicious smell, gorgeous colour, and it’s fantastic for my hair. It controls the oil and cleans really well without being quite as drying as the grapefruit shampoo. I also find this one foams slightly more than the others. A solid favourite, I intend to alternate between this and the standard tea tree. Lemon and tea tree conditioner: (5/5*) This conditioner is AMAZING. It smells incredible, fresh and citrusy with a really zingy kick to it. I want this smell as a perfume, a laundry liquid, and a home spray. It’s divine. It’s also a great conditioner for my hair — nourishing and good for dry ends but not remotely heavy. It doesn’t staying sitting in my hair and it washes out really well. My hair feels super soft with no residue at all. By far my favourite. (The only downside to the lemon and tea tree is that Faith in Nature does not yet do them in a 5 litre refill. I hope they do, because I will definitely buy them that way). Rosemary shampoo: (4/5*) This one smells like a brand new jar of dried rosemary rather than fresh rosemary (it lacks that slight ‘green’ smell). Like all the others, the scent doesn’t linger, but it smells lovely when I’m using it. It cleans well, but sometimes I feel I need to double shampoo to get my hair feeling as clean as the lemon and tea tree or tea tree shampoos. I don’t mind this, but shampooing twice does dry the ends — this one, however, doesn’t seem to do that as much as the grapefruit. I have, however, had compliments from my hairdresser about how healthy and thick my hair feels while using this one. So if you want thicker hair but don’t mind shampooing twice (or only have slightly oily hair) this might be the best choice for you. If you want that super squeaky-clean feeling without drying your ends out, I’d probably pick a different one. Rosemary conditioner: (3/5*) Like the tea tree conditioner, this one smells ever so slightly medicinal, but as the scents don’t linger in my hair, I don’t really mind that. The conditioner is slightly thinner than the others, but I don’t feel it particularly lacks conditioning power. My ends are drier using this, but I think it’s because I’m double-shampooing most washes. If you want a heavy-duty conditioner, maybe this one isn’t your best bet. It doesn’t leave my hair feeling as good as the others. The main downside is that it leaves my hair feeling a little heavier than I would like, and the second day is greasier than when I use the tea tree or lemon/tea tree conditioners. I prefer it to the orange and grapefruit conditioner, but it won’t be my go-to. 2026 update: I’ve now been using Faith in Nature for about 4 years. I’m still using the tea tree shampoo, and buy it in the 5l refills, which are much more cost-effective. After hearing me rave about it, my mother, who has extremely dry hair, tries the Shea and Argan shampoo and conditioner. Before this, she used the Moroccan Oil brand, and was keen to find something a bit more purse-friendly. She’s now a convert to Faith in Nature! She loves the Shea and Argan oil shampoo and conditioner, and buys the, in 5l refills like I do. She washes her hair about twice a week and pairs it with Elvive hair oil before blow drying. I found the tea tree conditioner wasn’t doing enough for my hair and left the ends really dry and prone to splitting. At my mother’s suggestion, I tried using the Shea and Argan conditioner with the tea tree shampoo, and boy, is that a winning combo! The tea tree shampoo keeps my scalp clean and less oily, and the Shea and Argan conditioner really helps with the dry ends. I use Aussie 3 in 1 oil before drying, and while I do still get more split ends than I’d like, I find this a great combination.
