Yes, tthey are more commonly known as Turkish chile peppers. They are processed with a smal amount of oil and salt.Be sure the ones you buy are fresh.Most of them aren't and they taste like sawdust.A good middle eastern or Turkish grocer is your best bet, somewhere they don't sit a year before selling.

Turkish eggs is the solitary reason I purchased it. It’s a little hotter than authentic Aleppo pepper and whilst it’s ok I wouldn’t buy it again.

No, says its not gluten free on the packet
