Hi I would like to view the negatives first so that I can decide if they are worth loading on my computer, can this be done

Hi. Yes I also found this frustratingly difficult to fathom but finally figured it out and yes, you can view them first. I was using slides and so once the slide is in position, press "Menu" and use the right and left arrows until you get to "capture". Press ok and it will bring up a drop down menu for negatives/slides. Once I pressed slide, the picture appeared like magic. Then you can just scan it to the memory stick and upload it to your computer if you wish to. You can also use the "flip" and "mirror" if the picture is the wrong way round. Bring back instruction books I say!! Good luck.

Does the sd card have to be 32gb or may a larger capacity sd card be used?

I believe you can use any size SD card. I've used 8gb and 32gb. It shouldn't effect the unit as you are only storing your pictures till you upload them to your pc.

does this work with windows 10?

I just save the pictures to a SD card and load them onto a computer that runs on windows 10. So easy to use.

Where can I get extra slide and film holders?

I think the only way to get extra slide and film holders may be from your local camera shop or write to DIGITNOW. I'm afraid I can't help you in any other way.
