Is it possible to program keystrokes? Such programming one of the buttons to enter a word

Can this be used for hot keys in a game?

You can map it to any keys on your keyboard, so yes.

Does it require USB 3.0

No I ran mine on a usb 2.0 and even a usb 3 but with an extension cable usb 2.0 it’s fully usb 2 compable. The cable is built in and only about 80cm long.

Can I use this with a macbook? Also I am planning on switching between 2 x phone camera’s for livestreaming, will this work to switch between cameras?

Elgato's website says compatible with 10.13 or later so if you're up that way then all should be good. Ability to switch between cameras would depend on the software being used.
