3M 1900S50 Value Duct Tape, Black, 50 mm

I have just used this duct tape to cover an old window prior to smashing it out of the frame to replace it. The tape was excellent and held the broken glass together when the window was pushed out saving a lot of mess and potentially dangerous shards.

I bought the 3M 1900 Value Duct Tape expecting a reliable fix for my DIY disasters. With its synthetic rubber adhesive, it clings to surfaces like a clingy ex—metal, glass, plastic, you name it. The moisture-resistant polyethylene backing ensures it holds up even when things get steamy. However, tearing it cleanly is a challenge. It shreds like my dignity after a night out. But hey, it’s duct tape, not a miracle worker. For light-duty tasks, it’s a sticky companion that won’t ghost you.

I recently picked up the 3M 1900S50 Value Duct Tape, and I have to say, it’s done a solid job for me so far. The adhesive is really strong, which is great for all sorts of quick fixes around the house. I used it to patch up a tear in a tarp and it held up nicely, even in the rain. The size is another plus. With 50 meters of tape, you get quite a bit for the price, so it feels like a good value. The black color also blends in well if you’re using it for anything visible. That said, there are a couple of things worth mentioning. It can be a bit tricky to tear by hand, especially if you’re in a hurry. I found myself reaching for scissors more than I anticipated. Also, while it sticks well, it can sometimes leave a bit of residue behind if left on a surface for too long, which can be a hassle to clean up. Overall, it’s a reliable duct tape for general use, but just be aware of those minor quirks. I’d still recommend it for everyday projects.

Great tape

Its a perfectly usable tape. Sticky, 3M, reinforced, lovely! It is however, the WORST gaffa/duck tape I have ever used. Crinkles far too easy, doesnt rip straight, or will rip down the roll rather than straight across. Threads pull out. I dont recommend it, but for general use with scissors and being really careful its fine.

Fantastic tape I know it’s a bit more expensive than other brands but it’s definitely worth it

Depuis que j'ai découvert ce type de scotch tissu à mon travail, j'en ai acheté pour chez moi et c'est un produit miracle. Il se découpe facilement à la main, de façon nette, sans ciseaux. Et il colle très bien sans laisser de traces de colle sur la surface (en général, sauf exceptions selon matériaux). Je l'utilise pour tout un tas de choses. L'essayer, c'est l'adopter.
