good keyboard
The keyboard is good for the price! Responsive and noise level is low. I bought it to replace a mechanical keyboard. The buttons are really good. The quality is acceptable for the price. Full keyboard size.

high quality especially for the price
1 year later and still works perfect. cable is mid-long and the colours still show up nice and bright. keys are perfect. once i dropped the keyboard and two keys fell off but stuck right back on when i tried and have had no issues with them coming back off.

Does the job
I needed a backlit keyboard as the letters/symbols had rubbed off my old one and I use it in a dark room. I also like the chunky old fashioned keys, so you actually know when you hit them. The key action is nice and not noisy for this kind of keyboard. It's cheap and basic but does what I want. Job done. More light spills out from around the keys than through the symbols on the keys, as you can see in the image, but it looks cool when the light is on and I can see the symbols so that's fine.

OK keyboard, but it definitely shows the low price
I am definitely surprised to read so many excited reviews of this keyboard - I am pretty sure many of the reviewers never really tried a really good one. But, it's not that it's something to be thrown into the garbage bin, given the price I actually decided to keep it until I can find a nice offer on the ones I'm aiming at.So, why is it actually a decent keyboard?1 - The typing is actually nice - the keys are springy and give a nice feedback, but it's still kind of silent like a normal membrane. The keys stay in place and don't wobble (besides maybe when you hit the spacebar on the side, but it's still tons better than what I sometimes had from big brands basic keyboards)2 - It's backlit - but more about that later as many defects are also related to this3 - No ridiculous gaming font used on the keys, and the position of 2nd/3rd characters are standard (one below the other, no almost attached or side-by-side characters)Why does it feel so cheap and you might not like it?1 - Keys are not individually lit, but it's the membrane below which got the leds. The light spreads very un-evenly to the keys, and while it remains decently lit when seen from above, at normal typing angles (keyboard on the desk) many keys look like not being lit at all, or lit only in part - same for the area under the keys2 - Cheap paint job, to spread the light the bottom area of each key is white but it's full of black paint spray which made it through. This is also noticeable on the sides of the keycaps, and is more noticeable when the light is on3 - As others said, the logo is so ugly... there's a nice one on the box and on the pics of other Rii products on Amazon, but here it's really just a "Rii" written in arial font4 - The keyboard is not stable - the base flexes a lot. This normally means that it might not last a lot (time will see) and if you're a heavy hand typer you'll notice the keycaps tops coming next to each other increasing your typing errors. Even removing the risers on the bottom keeps the keyboard tall enough to flex5 - It's tall from the place where it sits - it screams for a wrist rest6 - N-keys rollover is terrible - on some keys combos on the right side I wasn't able to get more than 3 keys recorded at the same time (a good usb keyboard with no specific implementation would normally record 6), there seems to be some anti ghosting though especially on the left side keys and there I have arrived to up to 7 keys being recorded. Yet no indication is given on which keys have that available so it's ultimately up to you to see if some complex combos would ultimately work or not

Rii-ght On
This is a very nicely made keyboard, compact and very responsive. At first I wasn't too keen on the distance of the keys from the keyboard; I felt sure it was going to be similar to typing on the old, clunky, manual typewriters but the key action is very smooth. I don't mind a bit of clackety-clack, and while this keyboard isn't silent, it is a very gentle and comfortable (I'd say almost comforting) sound. Compatible with my HP Envy and Windows 10. Love this product, and well worth the money.
