Can this be used as a bath toy?

My daughter received this for Christmas and the very first time she used it in the water it completely stopped working! I feel this is FALSE advertising saying it’s okay to dip in water, but dipping it in water breaks it 😖 a little upset because my daughter loves this Barbie and is so upset she doesn’t light up anymore..

Can you remove the tail and use as a regular barbie?

No the barbie has no legs. It's all one piece. You do have to attach the fin when arrives.

The battery is not effected if you put this in the water?

Ours stopped working about a month after we got it. Batteries had corroded/leaked. Replacing the batteries didn't help.
