Great little kit, I bought this for the wife who is a gin convert. Very simple to use and good clear instructions to read. We were a bit sceptical after a couple of days but by the 4th/5th day it smelt and tasted amazing! Who knew you could make gin from cheap vodka!,, Scott and Gabriel from sandy leaf farm who produce the kit email and offer constant advice if there are any problems, they also do an amazing array of other kits, check them out.. So the wife hasn’t tried the finished product yet by by her reaction when she tasted it just before decanting I think she likes it 😋👍🏻 So thanks Scott & Gabriel for creating these loverly kits, perfect gift for the gin drinker in your life. I gave this kit to my wife for Christmas. She loves her gin, spends far too much money on premium brands and is a gin club member. Worried she would see this as a bit gimicky, she set out following the instructions and created two bottles, one rosemary based, and the other cranberry. A little caveat - you obviously don't get fresh rosemary or cranberries in the pack. You mix the included botanicals with vodka, to create a base. We then added the fresh ingredients to give our 'gin' a more personal taste. Wow! Tasted absolutely superb. Could we taste vodka? Yeah, a little bit - it starts with vodka, so that is expected. And we didn't really want to break UK licensing law to distill our own. But it works! A lovely gift, a lovely 'gin', but most importantly, it was fun. Well done to the Sandy Leaf Farm team.

Made a fabulous Christmas gift for my mum, she loves the idea of making her own Gin! Really simple, easy instructions. Only 4 stars as haven’t yet tried but have been told they will make a really nice tasting combination. Will be buying again for other Gin-lovers!

The box looks to be quite substantial on the product page and a sound pick for a gift, when it arrived it was smaller than a DVD case in size not really worth the price paid although an OK novelty gift 😏

I have noted lots of comments regarding the need to buy some cheap vodka, but unless one has a licence to make spirits, or has some 'moonshine' on the go, I cannot see any other option. Anyway, to my mind it's not about that, its about having a bit of fun at the expense of Gordon's and without the cost of the other more fancy Gins. So, if you're up for it we found it simple and great fun. The end result was a completely new and very tasty 'home made' Gin, although next time we'll soak the herbie stuff for a shorter time, possibly a day less just to see the difference. I do like my Gin in the evening, and I also like this personalised version. They have put a lot of thought into the product packaging which is well produced and beautifully put together. I will be ordering another packet for both the fun and the taste. What's to lose!

2nd one of these kits I’ve bought for friends birthdays, along with a bottle of vodka and clip bottle for brewing makes a perfect gift! I received The Ultimate Gin Makers Kit from Sandy Leaf Farm for Christmas and have made some fantastic gins already. Their customer service is excellent with any questions being personally realised to not an automated service. I’m now brewing my own rhubarb and ginger after following their advice and the methods learnt through making gins in their kits. I would advise anyone to allow the flavours to brew to the full time allowed to intensify the gin. I leave the juniper berries for the full 5 days before adding the botanicals then give that another 5 days to add depth to the flavour your making. Make sure to test and if needed leave another day or more until desired flavour.

I had this as a gift from a family member it only took a week to make, had to buy small 70cl bottle of inexpensive vodka and a jar with a lid for fermenting you add different ingredients from the pack at different times, when all was done the taste was strong but nice better with tonic, it's not like your average shop bought well known brands, but worth a try. I enjoyed making it, and the booklet that comes with it is worth keeping, apart from the instructions it has different gin drinks to make, anyway I have just bought one for my brother, this product is worth a go and VERY easy.

I received the first as a gift and it was fun to make. But after trying the gin I purchased several more for friends and they like it also. I used good vodka and it's the Best gin I've ever had.

Das Produkt gefällt mir eigentlich ganz gut. Eine nette Einleitung und eine großzügige Mischung verschiedener Botanicals. Dir Lieferung war pünktlich und alles verlief reibungslos. Was mir nicht so ganz gefällt ist, dass ich um den gleichen Gin noch einmal herzustellen auch dieses Packet ein zweites Mal kaufen muss da keine wirkliche Angaben über die Botanicals gegeben sind. Daher leider nur 4/5.

Cela aurait été une bonne idée, je les ai vus à vendre un peu l'année dernière, mais présenté beaucoup mieux. Cette sélection d'herbes que vous pouvez acheter beaucoup moins cher individuellement est arrivé dans une boîte battue qui n'a rien fait pour inspirer aromatiser votre gin

Gave this to a friend and we did it together. Was fun to track progress over time and enjoy the final result. Superb.
