It's been a long wait
I've been waiting for a long time to get this in the UK. The wait was worth it! The episodes in this set are basically the battle of the gods movie but with extra scenes, so some might be upset if you've already seen the movie, but it's absolutely worth watching with the extra scenes.

A review with photos
Dragon Ball Super, Part 1This Contains episodes 001-013, which is one episode short of the Battle of Gods Arc.Overall its a good watch, both English and Japanese dubs are great, great picture quality but it ultimately can be skipped just by watching the Battle of Gods movie.Love the packaging, much better than the US release.

Minus the final saga episode still good tho
As the blu Ray is sold 13 episodes a time you miss the final battle where Goku uses his now permenantly ingrained god powers to challenge his opponent for the concluding battle of the gods plotline the show unlike the movie fluffs out a lot of the important stuff for slightly meaningless subplots but they’re charming enough and introduce a few key changes to the film they also follow each part along neatly but you’d be fine watching either as little changes it’s just more of the characters like Beerus and Bulma sitting around talking so you’ll definitely get your moneys worth but unless you generally enjoy the characters and would rather get straight to the action I’d recommend the movie otherwise arrived on time in pristine condition with neat box art

How many Super Saiyan's does it take to change a light bulb
How many Super Saiyan's does it take to change a light bulb? One but it will take at least 7 episodes. That is and always has been my issue with Dragon Ball in all it incarnations. It takes the characters so long to do anything. Yet for all my complaining I keep watching it, and keep coming back for more. My boys I was watching this with said the something "is there going to be any fighting in this episode?" yet whenever we asked them what they wanted to watch it was always Dragon ball super season. I have to say I have always preferred Vegeta to Goku, and I am glad that he got some time to shine in this season, to the point where my son said "why wasn't Vegeta chosen?" High five to him for that. One of the reason I rounded up was the parts I though was just stupid, (mainly Goku's parts are they really made him dumber in this season), my kids thought was hilarious them being the target audience I guess that is a bulls-eye and deserves a round up.The plot is pretty simple as expected a new deity has awoken, with the power to destroy planets on a whim (is this not all DB villains since Freeza?), all the other deities/Kais are crapping themselves at his coming. Of course Goku see this as a new challenge and wants to fight him, but what Goku sees as a friendly sparing match could annoy a being who destroy the universe. Now Goku and his friends might need a "little" help to reach a new level unheard of by any mortal. Like all the other Dragon Balls, this is the one Japanese series I prefer using the dudded version then the subtitles.I cannot explain the appeal Dragon ball has on me, but it does as much as I complain about the lack of action I keep coming back and will be buying the next half of the season, and my boys were instant fans.

Super is definitely the word
Brilliant. I grew up watching Dragonball, DBZ and watch super in Japanese, but so much more enjoyable watching in English dub. Quick delivery
