Great Shredder, Best I've had
I have had a few shredders for home use, but this is by far the best so far. Easy to load documents and the capacity is good.

Get it. You won't regret it.
Excellent product. Highly recommend. When it jams, you almost know it was your own fault, but easy to fix. Tends to overheat if you overload it but again, human error. When the drawer says full, you just compact the contents down and keep going. I wish it had a handle on the tray which would make one-handed emptying into a plastic bag much easier.

LED is waaaaay too bright
The shredder is great but I would not have bought it with this annoyingly bright LED. It's so bright it hurts my eyes to look down when I'm shredding anything. I put a piece of black tape over it to cover it and the light still shines through (it's more tolerable now). Everything else about the shredder is fine, just the light is abnormally bright. If covering it didn't dampen the light, I'd have returned it.

Very powerfull and QUIET!
My older micro cut shredder lasted about 20 years. However, that one filled up fast and was very noisy and heated up after 10 minutes of continous use. This shredder is much better. It has a built in fan for cooling which means longer run time before getting hot. It is super quiet and powerful. The only negative thing about the auto-feed feature, is that when you load multiple sheets, even though I loaded them nice and neat and organized, the auto-feed will grab more than it can chew and clogs easily. It is also a bear to unclog. So, I only load about 10 sheets at a time. But the bottom of the bin does hold quite a lot of shreds. It also lacks one safety feature that my older shredder had. There is no pull-out-key. Kind of like treadmills. So, if you have kids, you will need to umplug it and slightly pull out the bottom bin to completly disengage the motor. Overall, I am very happy with the purchase so far.

Really good buy for the $$!
Does exactly what my cheaper shredder wouldn’t do…shred without the smaller motor whining and groaning!

HP should be ashamed of itself!
First I would like to say that I own a bit of HP stock. I have always liked there printers so when I needed to buy a new shredder I thought hey lets support HP. What a mistake! This piece of junk does nothing well. 1. Feeds over a hundred pages? NO jams repeatedly. Then you have to cut the pages out with a knife. 2. Struggles to get through two pages starts to feed third page early then jams. 3. You have to feed it one page at a time if it goes in the lest bit crooked then struggles to get through that page. 4. After feeding one page at a time for 15 minutes machine over heats and you have to stop anyway. Now I want to make clear that I was only trying to get rid of old type paper work we all keep in boxes for a few years so nothing odd just normal sized paper of uniform dimensions. The paper was all pulled apart and even staples pulled out! So if you are thinking about buying a shredder for that price look somewhere else! I might think about selling some HP!
