We've only used it about a half dozen times but have really enjoyed the quality and ease of use. You really can tell the difference between projecting the image on the side of your house versus onto a real screen. Our outdoor projector has a decent amount of lumens but not the highest. You still get a bright image at dusk with this screen. Putting it together is pretty straight forward and the frame can be put up quickly. It does take some serious pulling to get the screen buttons fit all the way around but if you follow the instructions and start from the right areas, it's mostly painless. We had one of the hinges break on our frame rendering it basically useless. While the majority of the aluminum frame is very strong, the hinges were soft aluminum as well and not ideal as they are a folding/stress point when you pack it up. I panicked at first and thought we had just wasted a $500 investment. But I saw that they offer a two year warranty. I reached out and sent pictures with my original invoice. There was no issues and blame game tactics. They just asked we send a picture of the screen portion destroyed and fill out a form. We had to pay for shipping, but a small price to be reimbursed for the entire screen. They also said they would send the newest model where they had improved the hinges. So they obviously had seen some issues in the past. It's so refreshing to see a company stand behind their product and warranties for once. I'll be looking for another retractable screen for our home patio, they will definitely get my business on that one as well. Rear or front projection, virtually all screens, will require folding to fit into their storage bags. The lines do diminish with tension, use, and distance from screen (in-home use puts you closer to the screen than its larger format intends, hence the lines may stand out more). Worry more about keeping the screen clean and blemish free, those will be far more disruptive to your picture than crease lines! Also, the higher lumen (brighter) the projector, the less you notice lines and the more the image "pops" on the screen. **Q: for rear projection, how far back do you need the projector from the back of the screen?** A: That depends entirely on the projector **Q: Can anyone recommend a good projector that is inexpensive but offers 1080p and support for Apple TV?** A: i'm using the GooDee Video Projector. It's fine. Especially for the money, around $60. I used it in conjunction with a fire stick - haven't tried Apple TV though. **Q: Anyway for the screen to be rolled up instead of folded when shipping?** A: No. One the screen is snapped onto the frame, the fold lines flatten out.
