Decent scraper. Straight and works well. Saves time sanding.

I bought this card/cabinet scraper for finishing picture frames. It's really a piece of sprung steel. It doesn't become a card scraper unless there's an edge on it! Took about 20 minutes to sharpen following YouTube videos. Once sharpened it performed perfectly. I recommend this product.

Out of the packet it has a very very slight burr on only one of the shorter sides so I'll need to add deeper burrs to the other edges using Paul Seller's method as seen on YouTube. Without a burnishing tool I'll try using a hard tempered drill shank to turn the burrs. Whilst tool sharpening is a necessary part of using and maintaining hand tools, this is a bit like receiving a saw that has no teeth cut in it or a chisel with no cutting edge. It seems like it will be a decent quality tool once I've sharpened it but as supplied it is basically a rectangle of tempered steel and its disappointing that it can't be used straight away on arrival.

Will need to fix wooden strip for holding if used extensively.

Great for stripping back stubborn varnishes. Easy to sharpen.

Ces racloirs semblent être de bonne qualité. Ils sont livrés non affûtés. Donc première chose à faire, dresser les chants et les passer à l'affiloir. Pour ceux qui ne connaissent pas, il y a énormément de vidéos qui traitent de ce sujet sur Youtube. Après, c'est un plaisir à utiliser. Très bon rapport qualité-prix.
