Does the bit holder hold the bits securely? Is it magnetic?

My apologies for the late reply. The bit holder is sprung and does hold the bits quite firm you sometimes struggle to pull them Bach out with oily hands. I have one of these sets at work and is 2 years old and everything works OK. Thoroughly recommended.

Yes, it is magnetic and it is very secure .The bits won't fall off even working upside down, this set is absolutely brilliant, especilly the twist action ratchet for working in tight places.
