I recently purchased the Oregon Q515064 Browguard and Steel Mesh Visor Combination, and I must say it has exceeded my expectations. This safety face shield is an essential piece of protective gear for any task that involves potential hazards, especially in outdoor work environments. No instructions but application of little common sense and I worked out how to attach the visor. Good protection and reasonably comfortable to wear although not easy to wear headphones a the same time which is disappointing given the need sometimes to muffle the noise from garden equipment. Overall, good value for money and strongly recommended to protect your eyes and face if you are using any equipment that might throw something back in that direction.

As expected and does the job perfectly

There are no assembly instructions, but all you have to do is attach the mesh, which isn't at all difficult. Some people have said that the mesh is only plastic: it feels like it is, but it attracts a magnet, so it's definitely steel. I have a small head for an adult, but I found that there are plenty of easy adjustments available to get it fitting comfortably and firmly.

I leave a small head but with adjustment the visor fitted well. Easy to put together, comfortable when using. Good value for money.

I've used this weekly now for over a year and would highly recommend it. At first, I thought it would be too flimsy to do the job, but as it happens, it is both robust and lightweight and easy to adjust once you get used to using it. It must be noted too that sometimes you have to avoid any glare from the sun - it radiates through the mesh - I simply turn away from facing direct sunlight when this happens as the glare reduces your vision and can impair your safety - this would be true of any similar product too. I use it when strimming grass and it protects my face from any airborne missiles sent up by the strimmer. It however is not sufficient to protect my eyes from finer airborne particles, so I wear clear safety glasses underneath the visor. The combination of the two works well. I would recommend purchasing this product.
