Safety Skin® Reflective Spread

This product is PERFECT for anyone who spends some of their time near roads in the early morning or evening. As a runner I often need to get my workout in early before work, and I don't love wearing lots of reflective layers -- they usually don't stay in place for me, and I get annoyed by the extra fabric/weight of lights. SafetySkin does everything I need, without the added weight! It applies just like a deoderant stick, and is SO BRIGHT when lights hit it. Plus, it stays put with sweat BUT comes of so easily with soap and water (last image was after a sweaty run). This would be great for everyone -- including runners, cyclists, construction workers, walkers, you name it! You can see the before image - it's hardly noticeable on my skin. But when the flash of my camera hit the SafetySkin, it lights up so bright! I have it on my hand and my forearm in the photos. So so cool! I'm buying one as stocking stuffers for my siblings (cyclists) to keep them safe. The product came quickly, too! Definitely a permanent customer!

I bought this as a gift for my husband. Most weeknights he goes out for a run after our toddler goes to bed when it's dark (especially during the winter). We live in SoCal so he's not wearing full pants with the reflective material sewn in and it's hard to find good shorter options (which is what he was originally looking for). The safety skin is quick and easy to apply and washes off when he showers. It provides good visibility to keep him safer while running in the dark. We're really glad we found this product and my husband has been recommending it to all of his running/biking friends.

First of all, it works and it works well. You gotta be sure to warm it up a bit because the wax goes on better that way. I just stick it in my armpit for a few minutes and the body heat does the job. Then it goes on pretty easy with a bit of pressure. I've done a few swipes and I've also gone overboard. Sometimes little wax crumbs fall off as you're applying it and it lands elsewhere on your clothes/body which makes you look some fairy came along and sprinkled you with a bit of glow dust, that or a glowstick exploded nearby. So it's not always a nice clean stripe, but it is highly reflective and I feel so much safer (all though ridiculous looking) going on night or early morning runs around my apartment which is at the corner of the intersection of two highways. It washes off easy with soap and water and comes off clothes in the laundry. I haven't seen any issues with staining or skin irritation. I plan to buy another when this one runs out. It's a little smaller than expected (like a travel sized deodorant stick) but it lasts a while in my opinion. You don't need to put it on every inch of you or anything.

The product works well, but it's so small you'll probably only get to used it three or four times tops. It looks like a tiny deodorant and makes me laugh.

I have been using this product for two months now and have absolutely been loving it! It’s such a simple product, yet extremely vital for any early morning riser or late night owl runner in my opinion. This reflective spread has helped enhance my visibility to oncoming vehicles as well as vehicles coming up from behind especially when the clothes I have on do not have any reflective strips or patterns on them. It has truly given me an extra piece of mind while out running during the night! It is super simple to apply. You just rub it on your skin like a stick of deodorant! Best part is that it stays on through rain and sweat until you scrub it off in the shower! If you’re looking for a product that you can use on any part of your body AND doesn’t harm your skin, you’ve found it!

Material is completely dehydrated (probably do to age) so it’s inapplicable. When pressed against skin it breaks of pieces due to how brittle it’s become. Additionally the package came in mangled tho this probably has no effect on condition of the reflective material! A absolute shame because this product actually seems to be the most reflective out of all the similar products I’ve tried !!!!!

I cant say enough good things about SafetySkin reflective spread. Swipe up the calves, side of arms before a night ride on bike. It's round out the safety when paired with a good set of lights. I have been flagged down twice at stop lights coming back into town noting they could see me really well and were able to tell i was a cyclist long before i came into view. way better than a red light on its own, and not as blinding as a full reflective jacket. Great customer service, too. The stick is small but you're not going to use it every ride, and it lasts for a while if you don't slather yourself in it (you wont need to). This is a solid BUY.

am so disappointed in this product! I ordered it for our kids for Halloween and for my husband who is a triathletes. It does not go on easily, does not make a thick ribbon along the limbs, was not reflective and we couldn’t use it on our kids tonight. Here is a picture of what it looked like after multiple applications. This is a small container and was expensive. I am so upset this did not work to protect our kids and won’t work for my husband as he trains. This product did not work as advertised. Don’t waste your money.

I did find this a little pricey but it worked really well. Tested it on my legs for a late evening run and it worked perfectly. I made sure to warm the product up before applying to make sure I didn’t experience the crumbling issue and removed it with no issues using a wet wipe as advised. Couldn’t feel it at all on my legs no weird sticky feeling, no reaction, as I have quite sensitive skin. Looking forward to using it some more before it gets too cold for shorts. Not sure how well this would work on hairy limbs due to the type of application, so maybe something to keep in mind?

I seen this on a YouTube review and said I would try it out, I am very happy with the product and it does exactly what it’s meant to do. Very easy to wash off as well which is a bonus. I’ve used this in the rain as well and it has stayed on my skin keeping me safe while running. I would recommend this product

This stuff is magic - seeing it work never gets old :) I use it on my skin and clothes with no issues. I find that reflective arm bands are never the right fit for me, and start to rub halfway through a run, so this solves that problem. If you’re not sure you’ve put enough on, use your phone torch to check before you go out - you can’t really use too much.

This stuff is great. I run quite a lot (40+ miles a week) and Safety Skin has helped me be more visible when out at night. Easy to apply and doesn't come off when running. Needs a bit of a rub to remove in the shower, but not an issue.
