Good, cheap, protein supplement.
I have got to give this five stars because, even though it is not the best tasting protein supplement, it's drinkable and "it does what it says on the tin" (and it's cheap!). I bought this to bump up my protein intake as it is more cost-effective than using more soy protein (though using more soy protein is a perfectly good option). Apparently, if you regularly eat oats, this complements the protein profile to create help a complete protein (oats aren't a great source of protein but some people - like me- eat a lot of them). First thoughts were - this tastes like cold, sour, burnt, pea soup - but I stuck with it and now it tastes like pea consommé. I can live with that!

Excellent value for money. Great for 4 Hour Body
Good quality product and brilliant value for money. Easy to measure and dissolves easily in a shaker. It has a lot less foam than other brands. Slightly silky texture which some may not appreciate, but doesn't bother me. The powder does have a bit of an unpleasant flavour, as do all pea protein powders. I just swallow holding my breath and don't taste at all. I shake this first and wait for the foam to dissipate, and then add a scoop of AG1, and consume within 30 minutes of waking as per the Slow Carb diet / Four Hour Body. Gives good and reliable energy early in the day.

Decent protein add in for a good price
Works in most shakes etc but can be incorporated into meals in smaller portions ie as a thickner or into a pastry base ,zero texture, pea like taste on its own ,and quality is pretty standard smelt v fresh upon my opening the bag ,good value for money you pay ,

Brilliant when used in the right way
I see a lot of negative reviews for this product which are very unfair. Yes, this powder tastes horrible when mixed with just water (or as one reviewer tried, coffee?). Complaining about this is like buying turmeric and complaining that it makes your strawberry milkshake taste weird. It is unflavoured protein that has been extracted from peas, it tastes exactly like it sounds. When you start using it as an ingredient in other things, however, it is much much better. I have found this protein powder to be very well suited to things that other powders are not. For instance, whey protein congeals into disgusting lumps when mixed into any hot liquid, but pea protein does not. I like to mix it into spicy soups, which the savoury pea flavour works very well with. If you want to use it in shakes, you definitely need to add sweetness (unless you want a savoury shake?). My current protein shake recipe is to blend a scoop of this powder with milk, frozen berries, an egg and a pinch of sucralose (bulk powders sells this too). I actually prefer this to the version made with whey protein (unflavoured). I've not tried it with almond milk or vegan alternatives to milk, but it will probably work too. Adding a banana will make the shake thicker and creamier too. I will continue to buy this powder, and also will continue to buy whey protein, and as a rule of thumb, use the whey in sweet recipes and the pea stuff for anything savoury. If you want something that you can just mix into water and shake, don't get this, get one of the flavoured powders.

Worst tasting pea protein I've tried to imbibe
It really doesn't suit my palate. I've found that, despite its mild odour, it has a rather acidic taste to it. To the point that after a few days of it I can't bring myself to drink any more. To make matters worse, it's the messiest powder I've had to deal with, too. It's difficult to mix. It clumps up very easily, leaving half the mass stuck to the inside of the shaker. Not only that, something about it seems to "fizz" so the shaker ends up oozing the mix out seal between the bottle and lid, or causing a rather explosive exit when you pop the lid on the shaker. I've got about 0.9kg of a 1kg bag left, and it's going in the bin. Not as cheap as I thought it was going to be...

Delicious to the hardcore consumer; unbearable to the rest.
So wow, this is delicious. On a scale of one to ten, this is a go. Took me about 3 meals to get used to it. Mixed with fridge-cooled water to a thick consistency and with absolutely nothing else added, I find it to be delicious. Mixed too thin or in addition to other ingredients (eg cocoa, oil, eggs, cinnamon, fruit, peanut butter) and it becomes unpleasant or even unbearably disgusting to me. The very first time I tried it, I treated it like my previous batch of chocolate flavour whey protein (choc full of soy) and attempted a pea protein chocolate mug cake which turned out so revolting that it almost made me throw up, and I am not a soft-hearted eater. I became deeply sad at that point and started to question my life choices like the other reviewer. But I immediately learned my lesson and stopped treating it like something that can become a dessert. It's never going to be some sweet milkshake or an ice cream Sunday treat (or sundae? You decide.) The trick is to keep it simple, cold and thick. To my palate, the thicker the consistency, the more pleasant the texture. If I am still in existence after this bag runs out, I will re-up with 5 more kis, unless someone decides to produce a soy-free whey protein which they won't. Everything on here is strictly my opinion. If you buy it, you are very likely to find it disgusting and want to throw out the entire bag after first use. The other reviewers are very accurate about this but I still have to five-star it as I now look forward to having it each day.

Change in recipe?
They must have changed the recipe because I've been fine with unflavoured before but my recent purchase is disgusting.

Tastes fine!!!!!
I really can not understand the other reviews here complaining about the taste. It does not have a strong distinctive taste at all and when added to a banana smoothie, as I take it, I can't taste it at all. I've used hemp protein in the past and that stuff tastes like ground up dirt with a similar consistency. What I will say is this does make very thick shakes so be warned you may have to use a little more liquid than normal to make it drinkable. Another bonus of pea protein is that it is a rather good addition to baking. I'm gluten intolerant so I'm constantly experimenting with different flours to get better results in my baking. Adding pea protein powder to biscuits, cakes and bread has had some rather excellent results. It is still no substitute for having gluten but my cake game has reached a new level. There are obvious pros and cons with nearly all whey substitutes and this is no different. But it really doesn't taste that bad (not like pea at all if anything I'd say it was rather pleasant) and the price is insanely good for the amount you get, even if you only end up using it in baking you'll get some great results and your monies worth.
